Hotel Rupertihaus — Hotel in Heiligenblut am Großglockner

We had an amazing room in Rupertihaus! The view from our balcony, with the church in the foreground and Grossglockner behind was just perfect for taking photographs morning and evening. The room we had also had 2 bathrooms – so convenient when travelling as a couple so you’re not always waiting for each other. There were also super views from the breakfast room – and I love the crispy Austrian bread rolls. We also enjoyed the sauna and steam room, which are available at no extra charge – just need to book in advance. Apparently new owners took over the hotel a couple of years ago and they’re building up its reputation again after it had been going downhill. I had the pleasure to stop by in this Hotel occasionally as with my biker friend have been up to Glossglockner Moutain in late afternoon. Once on top, we went through few locations inside the Valley wherof I did not find appealing those locations, when getting out we have found this Hotel Rupertihaus, and we found courtesy in dealing with the Hotel Owner. The room was very clean and mattress is on top for a good night sleepy. Moreover, the restrooms very tidy and new appliances. We found also the Restaurant with good food, and the waiter was also excellent with good italian speaking. Please take good faith of my words, as I'm Hotel Manger on Cruise Lines. After a thorough research we decided to spend our holiday in Rupertihaus in Heiligenblut and we couldn't not have picked a better place to stay. We were welcomed by a friendly hotel manager, who was very helpful during the whole stay. The hotel itself is in our opinion rather smaller, which is one of its biggest advantages as this creates a very relaxing and familial atmosphere. Worth mentioning is the hotel's restaurant. Its young chef prepares modern and tasty dishes from the local products so you really get all inclusive Austrian Alp's experience. All in all, we are sure we'll come back.
