Gasthof Pension Fernsicht — Hotel in Himmelberg

We stayed with our 3 young kids for 5 nights in this lovely hotel and we already miss it. It is a charming and authentic place with a great 360 view. We liked the family atmosphere, the child friendly garden, the possibility to have dinner, and the super friendly owners including their 2 lovely kids who played for hours with ours. This is the perfect place for childhood memories in the great Austrian nature. The owners can provide many tips on how to spend your time being lazy at one of the lakes or how to be active as a cyclist or hiking lover. We spent the first week of our summer holidays here together with friends. Don't go there if you expect a pension or B&B to be a luxury hotel. However, the place has two great assets. The first one is its location. You are on a ridge and have fantastic views over a valley. The second one is the hosts, Ruben & Greet. They offer the best of genuine Flemish hospitality. The evening sessions around the fire in the garden were great. And Ruben is full of excellent tips for enjoying the many possibilities...
