Alpengasthof Lucknerhaus — Hotel in Kals am Großglockner

I stayed there 3 nights in July 2016 with a friend. ||We liked it very much:||- friendly staff, smiling and listening to your needs||- very good food for breakfast and diner, very time it was a good surprise||- quiet rooms, very clean, nice and comfy beds and splendid view on the mountains||- perfect location if you want to go hiking or even going to the top of the Grossglockner||- price is surprisingly cheap, for the rooms and for the diner ! ||||Go there with closed eyes, you won't be disappointed. Great location, superb service, couldn’t ask for a better experience. Breakfast room is super cute. It’s at a foot of the entrance to a national park with lots of trails to choose from.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, small but cozy.

All of the staffs were so kind and thoughtful. For example, I asked for a room changed and she came by after a few minutes to ask if the room was ok. We came back from a hike in the evening and they saved us a table in the dining room. We woke up to the cutest breakfast room with a name setting on a private table for us.

I can not say it was bad, but also not delicious. However I can say, it was one ot the most creative combination of food I have ever seen. Beef tenderloin with mayoneese and toast? They didn't ask if i want steak rare, medium or well done. So it came well done. I must say nature around is amazing. Soup was salty, and it seemed to me artificial.
