Read moreThis hotel is the worst I have ever stayed in. In fact, it is the reason I made an account on TripAdvisor, having never before felt the need to warn people off so strongly.||||The outside of the hotel is okay, but from the moment you come inside, you can smell the mould and... alcohol and smoke. Great, hah?!||||Rooms are antiquated, and we were actually TOLD (not kindly asked or apologetically explained) to go shower in the room nextdoors, since our shower was broken.||||Food is fatty and greasy and although no one from our company had any stomach complaints, the overall hygiene leaves a lot to be desired and definitely in the kitchen, where I had a quick peek while staff was away.||||Service a disaster, unfriendly. The cook is apparently also the boss, and he was completely wasted (drunk that is) every night, becoming very touchy in the bar and actually on two occasions almost being agressive. ||||Oh yeah, there´s also a "pool" ( two by two metres or so) and a "turkish bath". I didn´t dare go in. The water was dirty and one can only imagine what this means in a steam cabin...||||This place is, to paraphrase Colin Farrell, "a [--]". I am really truly sorry but I cannot say otherwise. I hope it gets lots of reports like mine, and people stay away from it. STEER...
Read moreMuhlbach is certainly a lovely location, and the one really positive thing I can say about the hotel is that it does have lovely views of snowy mountain tops in December. However, there were a number of problems with my stay:||- The staff did not seem aware of basic guest needs - such as cleanliness, light (some rooms had no functional light bulbs when our group arrived!) and warmth.||- The rooms were dirty, and when we arrived, also freezing cold. It took about 12 hours for the heating to crank up to a reasonable level.||- The beds were uncomfortable, old, and in the case of single beds, convertible sofas with sponge "mattresses". The bed linen was so old in some cases that it was possible to see the mattress through the sheet - and undersheets were not used.||- The swimming pool is tiny, and the sauna was always cold.||- Furniture in the lobby and "lounge" is haphazardly placed, and in some cases, threadbare.||- Although the buffet breakfasts were reasonable, the evening dinners were of variable quality, and never outstanding. Many items appear to have been pre-cooked, and vegetables were...
