This was our first visit to Maria Alm and although the hotel was out of the village center we did not find this a problem. We had no car but it was only about a 40 minute walk by the river or a free bus ride with the Guest Card given to us by the hotel.|| We could not have been better looked after by the owner Barbara Deutinger and her team. Her husband is the chef and produces some super food with choices for dinner. We have never seen such a large choice for breakfast all very well presented. The scrambled eggs were delicious.||Our room on the first floor overlooked the meadows/forest/mountains and was kept very clean and with a sitting area and balcony we found to be very comfortable.||All the hotel was in a very clean condition and the restaurant was nice and bright and comfortable.||If there was a downside then it was that drinks were not available until after 3pm. This may be because it was the start of the season when we were there and most guests had cars so were away from the hotel most of the day.||We had a super holiday at the Langeck and will certainly return again in the not too distant future, thank you...
Read moreWe two familities with teenage children stayed in this hotel for a night.||In spite of its beautiful location, the hotel disappointed us in hospitality, quality of rooms and the breakfast offered. ||The rooms are large but inconvenient and very tacky in design, although, admittedly, they open up to a breathtaking view of misty mountains. ||We checked in late night but the rooms were not prepared, and extra beds not laid in spite of ours being prior internet reservation for family room. In spite of tarriffs being not exactly low, the rooms lacked even tea/ coffee arrangements. ||The breakfast was just ordinary, made more unbearable by the fact that the staff were intent on rushing us out asap for some unfathomable reason. (no, we were not late!)||The final straw came in the morning when out of the blue we were handed over an extra charge bill for children. Our pleas that we had already booked family rooms and had only one child per family did not elicit any understanding. ||Will...
Read moreSuper location, ideal for your skiing holiday!! Food was very nice but not what you want after a full day of skiing, something more harty would have been more appropriate. The children loved the swimming pool, however the strict control by the receptionist/boss meant they felt very uncomfortable. One thing I have to point out is my disappointment that a 4 star hotel did not offer complimentary coffee. Not in your rooms and not in the wellness salon, everything else from a wide assortment of teas but no coffee, when I requested this from the unpleasant receptionist I was met with a cold “no! No coffee” answer. The rooms were spacious and clean and breakfast which was a buffet was plentlyfull. The waiter and waitress were very friendly. Would we go back... No! Owner was...
