Hotel Schloss Fernsteinsee Naturresort — Hotel in Nassereith

We stayed in an apartment in the Schloss. Large apartment well appointed, with bathroom and small kitchen. Large, very comfortable bed. Large bathroom with shower and spa bath. Glorious setting. It really is an old castle. Very atmospheric. Superb views. Loved the stay, the room, the views, the locale, the vibe. Improvement Opportunities On check in, we requested no housekeeping. Not needed or wanted. On the 3rd day we find housekeeping has been in. Had to re request. Bathroom starting to show touches of mould here and there. Housekeeping, when they turn the rooms around need to report it to maintenance. I had to report a couple of other things to reception, which maintenance fixed quickly, which should have been reported by housekeeping. It is an old castle and I think that the cushions and seats could be re filled. On check in we are told that we have a reserved table in the restaurant for any meals we choose to take. A table with great views. On our first visit to the restaurant there is someone sitting on ‘our reserved table’ and we are shown to another table with no view at all. If you are not going to reserve the table you have shown to the guest, then don’t say you are going to reserve the table. It is a letdown. We ate elsewhere...

Sono un subacqueo attratto dalla bellezza dei due laghi alpini sui quali non posso che riportare note positive. ||Acqua trasparente e location meravigliosa. ||Le dolenti note arrivano quando si parla di ciò che circonda i due laghi privati. Innanzitutto scarsissima pulizia, non vi sono cestini per la raccolta rifiuti e tutto appare bellissimo in apparenza ma senza alcuna supervisione da parte dell'Hotel. ||Non vi è alcuna struttura ove acquistare bevande in prossimità dei laghetti. ||Insomma bellissimo all'apparenza ma senza alcun servizio che da un 4 stelle ci si attende.||Se i laghetti lasciano a desiderare anche per la sicurezza dei sub (nessuna assistenza ne tecnica ne sanitaria di emergenza viene offerta) quanto vissuto in Hotel mi ha lasciato allibito.||Riassumo brevemente quello che ci ha colpito in modo assolutamente non idoneo: per poter fare immersione è necessario prenotare per due notti (fin qui tutto ok) ma bisogna ripeto BISOGNA usufruire del trattamento in mezza pensione mangiando ESCLUSIVAMENTE uno dei menu proposti (visti i cibi e gli accoppiamenti almeno fantasiosi come pollo con contorno di pasta asciutta...) si ha l'impressione che i menu siano realizzati con gli avanzi di cucina dei piatti alla carta che si vedono passare per gli ospiti che decidono di mangiare alla carta ed appaiono come un miraggio ai poveri tapini che usufruiscono dei menu.||Non è possibile con la mezza pensione mangiare alla carta. ||Attenzione qualsiasi bevanda anche l'acqua non è compresa e costa 1/2 lt ben €3,00. Il pasto della Mezza pensione costa €25,00 per una qualità improponibile.||La colazione unica nota positiva, se si acquista da sola senza mezza pensione costa € 12,00. ||Per festeggiare un compleanno ho avuto l'ardire di ordinare una bottiglia di Prosecco alla modica cifra di € 19,90, è arrivata in tavola una bottiglia con tappo a vite con una bevanda di sapore dolciastro che tutto poteva essere fuorchè Prosecco. (era dolce forse per "addolcire il conto "salato"......)||Tutti i menu, le informazioni varie, anche per i sub sono esclusivamente in tedesco a parte alcune brevi note in inglese. ||La camera perfettamente insonorizzata, visto la vicinanza della strada, non aveva l'aria condizionata funzionante a settembre temperatura in camera si 28/29 gradi, impossibile quindi aprire le finestre vista la rumorosità dovuta al traffico.||I letti sono a livello fachiro per la loro durezza.||In bagno ben n°1 saponetta e n°1 confezione di shampo per coppia.||La password per intenet deve essere richiesta per ogni dispositivo usato (es. un tel + 1 computer = 2 Password).||Tralascio l'arredamento di gusto tipicamente austriaco e falsamente antico.||Insomma una enorme delusione. ||Una piccola considerazione: dalle nostre parti grideremmo alla "Truffa" per un trattamento del genere. ||Hotel assolutamente da evitare se si ha cara la salute ed il portafoglio.||Spesa totale per due giorni di soggiorno a 1/2 pensione, concedendoci il "minimo sindacale" per una vacanza (1 birra testa per ogni cena + 1 aperitivo a testa + 1 bottiglia d'acqua per ogni cena + la famigerata bottiglia di Prosecco) €438,00.||Se il prezzo per un 4 stelle è congruo non lo è assolutamente in funzione delle prestazioni erogate. We loved this hotel, the castle is wonderful, but we stayed in the villa by the camping ground, it was well appointed with antiques, quite a unique experience, clean and tidy, good shower, comfy bed, and had its own kitchen area. The hotel and restaurant below is a bit of a climb from the camp ground, but a lovely walk thru the woods, past the lake and its much less much less expensive to stay, but to be up in the tower floor of a historical castle must be really worthwhile? Perhaps next time?|The views around the hotel are fantastic, the service was good and all the meals in the restaurant were excellent. |There is a lovely little chapel that the dairy farmer upkeeps and rings the bells each evening after the cows are put to bed (they are taken down the road to the other side of the lake during the day to graze). Across the road (walking under neath the overpass) is a beautiful crystal clear lake and you will receive free passes to use the boats and enjoy the tranquility of lounging on the...
