Mix feelings: This is my first review in Google for an hotel ever after residing at least 10 diferente hotels per year in the last 10 years.
The bad: 1.-Cold : Lisa told me that “If you feel cold being at 25 C, theres nothing i can do for you and we are feeling hot in my place”. So we slept 2 nights with my jackets on. My room was not at 25C … If it was at 25C i would not feel cold, is that simple. The funny thing is (an this is the reason of this very first review) is that in the last day morning few hours before our check out…the room was actually hot.
So they can make it warm…but just did not do it in the 2 nights we stayed there…
The reason/excuses were: “we have turn it up, but since it is floor heating, is slowly heating and we push it up to 25 C and in my place ir super hot” 2 full days, NEVER EVER opened a window…and was cold…the floor was cold, the walls were cold… I thought that they had the heating broken, or that the structural construction of the building have different temperature for different places…but boom, last few hours of my stay…room was HOT…
They replied that “i have give you an free update with sauna, and you are not grateful”: We did not use if, because the room was cold and but I did try to use it with door open to try to warm the room…and obviously it did not work.
The good:
1.- The place is nice and there were plenty of cookies, teas, juice and this is actually a nice touch. There were fresh eggs in the fridge.
So what it could have been a nice stay…ended in a cold stay.
1.-Asked for extra for both of us, but only been offered a “sofa blancket” for both of us. 2.-Asked for increase the heating…and nothing happens until the check in ours…i really feel they were kidding with us.
So, i would NOT recommend this place unless you want to pay 150 euros night to be cold or being toyed by the owners…
I have been in other bad hotels, with problems, broken heating, etc etc, but this is my very very first review ever, because of the bad actitud and the “do you feel cold...

The host Lisa is great, welcoming, knowledgeable and speaks excellent English and messages back straight away but also leaves you to yourself if you choose to self check-in.
The tiny house is unbelievable, exactly like the pictures online and surpisingly spacious lounge area with next level views! There were bikes available to cycle round the lake, you won't find better views and is the best way to get around the local areas.
If you're seeking Austrian charm and natural beauty, this chalet is a must-visit and located a nice 5-10 minute drive from the touristy Halstatt.

The chalet is just perfect – so cozy, super clean, and absolutely beautiful. Equipped kitchen with a lovely corner to eat, every corner of it felt like it was made to relax and enjoy. And the town and the views all over wowww It’s such a charming and peaceful place, like something out of a storybook. Also super close to a ski area 😍
