Hotel Kollerhof — Hotel in Politische Expositur Gröbming

If you're looking for a quiet place, yet in easy reach of ski slopes and nightlife, check in at Kollerhof. The ski bus takes you to Hauser Kaibling and Schladming in just a few minutes' drive, free of charge if you have a lift pass. But more importantly, the friendly atmosphere provided by Bettina and Max with their staff at Kollerhof make good for any bad luck with the weather you might have. Breakfast and dinner are superb by any standards. If you book one of the self-catering rapartments in the building adjacent to the hotel, make sure you book dinner at the restaurant nextdoor. If you choose to stay there in summer, you have splendid mountain hikes starting right from the backdoor. The quiet country road is excellent for mountain biking, except during the few days of the Ennstal Classic, a famous vintage car rally held in July, which you can watch right from your apartment balcony. On Tuesdays Max and Bettina organise an outing to a mountain hut for fishing or a short hike and dinner. Don't miss that, it's stunningly beautiful up there. We had the pleasure to spend some days in October 2012 at Kollerhof and were really amazed by the hotel and especially by the great service. The rooms in the new building are very nice, comfortable and are very spacious and have a very nice interior. Internet is available for free as well as satellite TV. The sauna area is a bit small but provides everything you need to relax and warm up after a day out hiking. The hosts are really very kind and are extremely helpful with their advises about how the day can be spend - be it a sunny or a rainy day. We enjoyed staying at his hotel and are definitely recommending...

Essen: Pinsa und andere Gerichte waren gut, jedoch nur kleine Auswahl, Getränke zum Bedienen aus dem Kühlschrank für Hotelgäste sind überteuert, das angegebene Begrüßungsgetränk gab es nicht

Service: passt Gastgeber Bettina und Max: gespielt freundliche Geschäftsleute, von Herzlichkeit ist leider wenig zu spüren

Gebäude und Außenanlage: Gebäude innen: in die Jahre gekommen und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, Fernseher funktioniert nur bedingt; der Balkon ist schmal, so dass man zu dritt nicht sitzen kann Gebäude außen: von außen ist das Gebäude schön anzusehen, in unmittelbarer Nähe eine Kirche, mit der man ab morgens halb sechs Uhr mit Läuten geweckt wird (nicht so toll). Gegenüber ist ein Bauernhof, dadurch sehr viele Fliegen im Gastraum und auf dem Buffet sowie Terrasse, Fliegengitter könnten Abhilfe verschaffen

Frühstück: Frühstück ist ok, aber für ein Hotel zu wenig Auswahl: frische Brötchen ausreichend vorhanden, jedoch kein Brot, Toast Brot; Gekochte Eier gab es jeden Tag, leider manchmal noch halb roh, andere Alternative aus Eiern wären eine schöne Abwechslung; Frisches Obst oder Obstsalat hat gefehlt; immer nur die gleiche Wurstplatte; kein Lachs oder Tomate Mozzarella, Würstchen usw vorhanden.

Ort: Bei schlechtem Wetter (Dauerregen) sind Möglichkeiten für Kinder nur schwer zu finden. Wenn es etwas gibt, sind diese total überlaufen. Auf den Bergen ist es sehr schön und kinderfreundlich. Ausstattung: Sauna und Fitnessraum haben wir vergeblich gesucht und wurde uns auch bei schlechtem Wetter nicht angeboten, leider auch sonst keine Tipps von den Gastgebern erhalten; WLAN nur bedingt möglich, schlechter Empfang

Leider hat uns der Urlaub im Hause Kollerhof nicht gefallen und die Aussage das kleine Hotel mit Herz entspricht leider nicht...
