Hotel & Alpengasthof Pinzgerhof — Hotel in Reith im Alpbachtal

There were seven of us on a business trip (a TV crew). On the first day, as it was Sunday and the shops were closed, we were supposed to work six hours straight without any breaks, followed by another four hours. Four of us took one Kaiser roll sandwich from breakfast. One of us was late and didn't have breakfast at all. The next day, there was a note in front of our table saying not to take away the food, without even the word "please". One of us was closely watched by the owner when leaving the dining area as if he was about to steal something. To the owners: talk to your guests first instead of trying to humiliate them in front of others. That's very impolite. Also, many hotel restaurants nowadays leave lunch boxes for guests who want to take something with them or eat breakfast later. We are sorry, but we didn't know that taking one roll from breakfast was a crime. It was a very unpleasant experience.

The rooms in the Gasthof were smelly and musty, and the towels were small, poor quality and completely worn out. Outside my window there was an ashtray full of cigarette butts but the cleanliness was overall good.

It was a pity that there was no access to hot water after hours (you couldn't have tee for example). Also there was no access to common fridge (if we'd like to buy second breakfast and keep it somewhere not to steal food from breakfast...

This hotel is not worth 3 stars. Our room was ok, but the 3rd bed for our 8 yr old son was terribly hard! Felt like a rock. Towels were old. Dinner was fine, but there were 4 tables including ours and to our surprise the others all got free schnapps, and we were totally ignored. Same happened at breakfast where nobody gave us a menu, service was terrible, there was no atmosphere. Yelling kids at 22.30. Only good thing was the view. Will never...

Wij zijn deze zomer 3 weken in hotel Pinzgerhof verbleven en kunnen alleen maar zeer positief zijn! Het hotel heeft een prachtig uitzicht over het dal, omdat het wat meer op de berg gelegen is. Dit zorgt voor een sfeervolle setting als je buiten kunt eten. Onze kamer was ruim, schoon en had alles wat je nodig hebt. Daarnaast hadden we een groot balkon (met als plus dat er al een waslijn hing). De familie is zeer hartelijk, staat je altijd te woord en helpt je wanneer je hulp nodig hebt (bijvoorbeeld een huisarts, maar ook voor tips wat te doen in de omgeving). Daarnaast is dit hotel zeer kindvriendelijk, veel speelmogelijkheden en ze kunnen proeven van het boerenleven! Onze zoon (3 jaar) vond het fantastisch! Voor ons was zowel het ontbijtbuffet als avondeten prima. Je kunt bij het avondeten kiezen tussen 2 opties, maar indien er andere wensen zijn, denkt men altijd mee. Ook maakt de familie zelf schnaps & likeur =) Deze zijn zeer aan te bevelen.

Kortom; ik beveel dit hotel bij iedereen aan. Wij zijn nu in de zomer geweest en wellicht komen we in de winterperiode...
