We were today in the top of Schafberg with my wife. Went to house Schafberg Restaurant to have a meal. The weiter, Long blonde hair man, was so unbelievably rude to us. We ask could we sit on the empty table, and he said that ok, if it is cleaned. Was not. He started cleaning it but after those 10 seconds while we were waiting close by to ensure we get seats from totally full restaurant, he gave impression, vertically and with gesture that we are bullying him, while only standing close. I apologized him that it was not my attention. Then after sitting on the table, he asked how many are you in the group, it was a big table. Said only two of us and again he was rolling his eyes and said that we should not have table for only two of us. At this point my wife left the table and restaurant. Dude was explaining me that if we sit in that 6 person table, we have to allow other people also sit to table, just to maximize the seats. That, of course would have been fine for us, considering how crowded the place was, but the way this "customer servicer" acted was really the worst I have experienced, ever, in anywhere in the world. He should either quit or get fired at once with remarks: not suitable to work with people or animals. After this episode we went to the smaller restaurant on the peak, Gaststätte Himmelpforten, where we met Austrian pair who came to the place from Restaurant Schafbergsspitze with same reason,...

If you or your kid feel unwell, be sure that no one in this place will help you.
We were about to order something, but suddenly my one-year-old son felt sick and starter to vomit on the floor. Luckily we didn’t have a sit yet, so finding myself in a difficult situation I took the paper napkins from the next table and clean myself and the floor. I hurried with my son outside to search for the toilet but the waiter stopped me and started asking to pay 9 euros for the three paper napkins that I took from the table.
I was so stunned that I thought maybe I misunderstood something but no, the waiter ran after me outside and another man followed him, they continued to demand that I have to pay, arguing that the cutlery were wrapped with the napkins witch I took and I must to pay, because they did work to wrap it !!!?? and doesn’t matter that the baby felt sick and it happened spontaneously.
I felt helpless and crying, two man didn’t let me go until I didn’t start filming them and ask to call the police.
To say that these people are devoid of any empathy is not enough, this is a flagrant case, none of the staff who were there showed any empathy, nobody of them asked if my son needs help or at least water, their wives were looking at me crying with a baby in my hands and didn’t do anything.
On the video, those two heroes, sure they deserve...
Read moreStayed a night at Schafbergspritz Hotel and never regretted my decision— what an unforgettable experience! The room had basic stuffs, but the view from my room was absolutely stunning, overlooking the mountains and lake below. While the area can get quite busy during the day with tourists coming up by train, the real magic begins in the evening. Once the crowds head downhill, it feels like you have the entire mountain to yourself — peaceful, quiet, and truly special. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant and felt genuinely welcomed. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. The food was nicely done — nothing over the top, but satisfying. The wine and dessert were excellent, and the prices felt fair for the quality and location. A stay I’ll definitely remember — highly recommend spending at least one night here if you want to experience the calm and beauty of Schafberg after the...
