For those of you who want remote, luxurious, family owned and operated, with a Chef and food that is without peer, then this is the place for you. It is located just over an incredible mountain pass that runs from Alto Adige/SudTirol, Italy into the Deferengen Valley, only about 25 minutes from the beautiful alp city of Leinz. The valley is one of the most incredible places in the world. Summer trips are spent hiking in the Alps, picking wild berries, mountain biking of fishing. The hotel itself is a wonderful spa, with indoor and outdoor pools, complete spa services, free yoga and water aerobics classes, even hikes with Mr Jesacherof himself as your guide. The rooms are large and beautiful, nightly entertainment. The food is without comparison, there is hardly a hotel that I have stayed in with the variety of cuisine, both a la carte and buffet service, everything made fresh in the kitchen, truly for the gourmand. If you are into having to choose between 30 different cheeses, home made salami, smoked fish, and more desserts than you have seen in your life, fresh fruits and vegetables, this is the place for you. This hotel (we stayed there 4 times now in june and september) has two parts. The real Austrian Sporthotel and the very modern Villa. In both underground attaches buildings the rooms are excellent. A very fine atmosphere, clean, very comfortable , much hospitality and a personal, helpful approach are important aspects.||The restaurant is great: the breakfast (you can't imagine something that isn't there, all kind of delicious food. We have returned each year for nearly 10 years to the Jesacherhof in St Jakob in Defereggental in the Ost Tirol. The hotel is right at the ski lift and with the mountain top at 2450m, it has plentiful snow year after year. The hotel has an excellent chef and half board includes a generous meal at tea time with savoury options as well as an array of sweets.
