Varm - the vegan farm — Hotel in Sankt Martin im Sulmtal

We stayed on Michael and Ulli's farm for 4 glorious days and wish we could have stayed longer! You cannot find more hospitable, warm and kind people!

The little farm house where we stayed was beautifully done and perfectly equipped with everything we needed, full bathroom and kitchen, gorgeous eco products and high quality appliances. Even an espresso coffee machine for those beautiful morning strolls in the garden. The bed and linen was so comfortable, we slept with the windows open to wake with the birds and sheep. The perfect escape from city life.

It was such a wholesome and enriching weekend. A fully VEGAN experience, a farm full of love and respect for the beautiful nature. The garden is full of herbs, fruits and flowers. This is the place for vegans! We were surrounded by organic goodness and happy animals living their best full life. I totally recommend this loving place if you are vegan of course but also if you want to try a vegan life for a weekend! Eat the animals somewhere else, but not here! This is a vegan paradise!!

We also bought our dog along for the adventure, our 7 month old female standard poodle, and she absolutely adored the place!! A big, fenced garden for her to run around and the best part- three other dogs to play with! Heaven! Importantly, we took the time to introduce them to each other with care, love and patience, allowed them to get to know each other in their own way, and by the end of the first day, they were happy friends playing. One of the dogs needed a little more time and attention to get acquainted, but all dogs are unique and when approached with respect, it all went well!

We cannot thank Michael and Ulli enough for the revitalizing weekend we spent with them. A proper delight, true hospitality and kindness still exists! We will be making this an annual or even seasonal trip, we loved it so much. I wholeheartedly recommend this slice of heaven to...

We spent a lovely 3 days at the Varm and cannot overstate how incredible Michael and Ulli are, both for what they have created here and for their hospitality! We definitely felt pampered.

We had a super comfortable stay at the guesthouse that has plenty of modern facilities such as heated bathroom flooring, espresso set and a very complete kitchen. The surroundings are beautiful regardless of the time of year you're visiting and the area is quite well served by a nearby train station (only a ~10 minute walk away). There is a small grocery shop in nearby Sankt Martin and some lovely hikes to be had in the surrounding countryside.

We had a great time with the dogs (and the farm cat we were lucky to meet) and Michael and Ulli made a great effort to make sure we were introduced to them gradually and that everyone involved felt comfortable!
