Gasthof Kleefeld is simply an idilic place for families, kids, friends or any other occasion because its: Positioning - breathtaking, uniq landscape Attarctions - one of a kind surrounding fauna ( deer, goats, trout lake, bunnies, wild ducks etc) Food & Drinks - great restaurant menu | authentic and tasty cousine both main course and deserts| Drinks as well especially local made pine spirit Rooms - very cozy, clean and tidy, nice and warm design and great amenities (e.g. Balcony), not to.mention their right size (both room itself and bathroom) Restaurant - the breakfast one is simply a candy for the eye, a lot of attention to detail and design that makes a fluid transition between the marvelleous sights one sees through the wide windows and the interior itself ; the launch and dinner one again great design, for both places the comfortable fixtures should be mentioned Personell - highly profesional, genuinely caring for their customers well being, attentive to their needs Terrace - well the words are useless to describe how beautiful the terrace is, not only because of the fixtures and nice flowers, but thanks to the views around Parking - well organized, easy to find a place to leave the car Nearby attractions - plenty of options around Wolfgangsee in case one needs more then what Gasthof Kleefeld is already offering which is already quite a wealthy assortment (e.g.: SchafbergBahn Cog Railway - reach the Schafbergspitze and enjoy some breathtaking views, bathe in the lake, enjoy a ship ride on the lake & much more)

When we left my little one got very emotional because she blended herself very much into Gasthof's Kleefeld story, surroundings and people. She even asked me to promise her that we will return soon.

Blessed with good weather, we had the best three generation holiday ever at Kleefeld.||Something for everyone.....plenty of space for children to play, with swings & a 3D spiders web for the climbing frame, plus all the animals, walks of various lengths & challenges & all terrain biking.||Five minutes drive away is Strobl for bike hire, water sports & two spacious lake freibads for swimming - very popular, and all the amenities of Wolfgangsee. Day trips to Salzburg & Hallstadt with it's salt mine, were great hits too.||Kleefeld is traditional Austria and has the most amazing views whichever room you have...up the mountain valley with its peaks, countryside views towards Strobl, views over the large deer paddock & other enclosures. Our room was spotless and comfortable in the original part of the Gasthof, however the bathroom was a bit tired & could do with updating. That said, we had the most spectacular views.||The food is fresh, varied & excellent, pleasing the children as well, especially the copious breakfast buffet. We have long yearned to visit Salzkammergut, and finally this October our dream went to reality. We found Gasthof Kleefeld in Tripadvisor and it was happy choice. Cozy hotel, clean, nice, perfect located at hillside, surrounded by majestic hills. Separate chapter was restaurant: very impressive place, but what was the best was meal, it was so delicious that we always consumed all what we obtain - but alas for our weight the portions were really rich. The staff was simply perfect, we had feeling that they are member of our family. We recommend visit this place for families with children - there are lots of deer, does, rabbits, mountain goats, sheep at fences next to hotel. You can see majestic deer through fence eye-to eye for half meter distance. Of course, it was October, so deer blared out all the night...I think, another month would be better time for staying and sleep there, maybe. Sure we try to return...
