Hotel Kössler is a wonderful hotel to enjoy your ski vacation to the fullest. From my point of view it stands out enormously from other hotels in the following points:||Location: the location is optimal. It is one bus station away from the gondola station. The bus comes every 5 min, so in the worst case you are at the gondola within 10min. The way back is even easier, there is a valley run that leads up to 50 meters in front of the hotel. Furthermore, 2 ski-sport stores are direct neighbors to the hotel. ||||Food: One of the best surprises was the food! The breakfast buffet is very extensive (eg incl. order scrambled eggs, etc.), also important for me personally is the good coffee. What really surprised was the daily evening 3-course menu with salad buffet. Every morning you could choose from 5 main courses. Overall, the food was very high quality. ||||Organization: I am sure that we challenged the hotel with some spontaneous occurrences. However, we as customers felt nothing of this. Everything functioned smoothly. In general, the processes and the staff are so good that as a customer you hardly have to think about anything and it seems like things just fly to you as you need them. ||||Further, the facilities are as expected. There is a sauna, a ski room and a ski boot room. The rooms are well equipped and are cleaned daily (if requested).||||All together a super place to go for an all-round...
Read moreWell, I almost hate to write this review as it will just inform more people about this little apartment and make it harder for us to book! We have stayed at the das Apartment Hintertux the last two years. We hope to stay again in the future. This is not the Hotel Koessler, but is owned by the same family. It is about a quarter mile up the hillside. a small apartment that can easily fit four people and with a little squeeze fit six. It is really the perfect location for staying/hiking/enjoying the Hintertux region. It is our fourth trip to this region and we love it every year. Hiking, dining, skiing, etc.. The apartment is literally perfect. It is exceptionally clean. Well appointed. Well maintained. The hosts don't speak English and I don't speak German, but we manage, especially since their daughter can correspond in English. ||The views are epic. You can cook, which is nice. We enjoy going to Empris (grocery in Mayerhofen) and buying local things and seeing what we can do with them. ||Do NOT hesitate to try and book this apartment if you are OK with not having the typical hotel amenities, but are also OK having a more authentic Tirol experience in the best little apartment...
Read moreStayed at the Hotel Kössler 4 nights to experience some snowboarding:… When i arrived in the evening and after check in I had dinner. The booking was half board and the menu had a few mains to choose from. Salad buffet to start follow by a starter or soup then main and dessert. Food was awesome for me…cooked with passion…I always had the local option like Tuxer Cheese dumplings, Gröstel or the cheese Spätzle…actually want to try out the dumplings at home. Breakfast also was very good…the bread rolls are really good and the yoghurt is home made…so if you book I would go for the half board option. The room is very clean and spacious for me…lots of tv programs if needed and comfy bed. The host Frau Mader is very helpful and you find her every where. Then there was Karl, he runs the restaurant front and what a man…he was always friendly and had a smile and always time for a chat. All over it was a great time I had here and should come back just for the hospitality and food…thank you to the Hotel KösslerTeam…also to the house keeping ladies and...
