Senator Hotel Vienna — Hotel in Vienna

We stayed at this supposedly 4* hotel from Saturday 24th June to Tuesday 27th June in a Classic room.||We were very disjointed as the following were missing which means it is not a 4* hotel:||1) No Telephone in the room. So to contact reception we had to go down from our room on the 4th floor |2) There was no iron or ironing board in the room.|3) There was no black tea in the room, just coffee and also no milk|4) There was no fridge in the room.||Further comments:||1) I went down to reception to pint out the above were missing but was told they are not available.||2) I was given an iron but not the ironing board until I asked for it.||3) I mentioned that there was no telephone in the room. The response I got was a straight "No". No apologies just a flat "No"||4) I mentioned that there was no fridge and I am diabetic. Fortunately I had a short stay so I did not need a fridge for extra insulin.||The receptionist mentioned that they could store my insulin but then I would need to go there every time I needed it. Not very convenient for someone with health issues.||5) I asked for black tea and milk. The receptionist said they were not available from Reception.||The mentioned I could ask House keeping when they come to clean the room. ||I asked reception to leave them a message in case I am not around when they come to clean the room. The response was a flat "No".||All in all I would not class this a 4* property and at best a 2* hotel.||Finally a couple of good points:||1) Check out is noon|2) Directions for the tram...

The hotel itself as well as breakfast were nice, however we had a very unpleasant incident happen to us. We left a fairly expensive pocket knife in the room. Literally 10 minutes after a checkout we wrote an email that we forgot it there and almost instantly got a response then that there was no knife. I insisted again (as i was 100% sure it was there as both my husband and i witnessed him putting it in a secure spot so our daughter cant get it in case she wakes up early). They looked and emailed that they had found a knife and we could get it back on our ride back, We stopped at that hotel again to specifically get said knife. And they gave us a PAPER KNIFE wrapped in paper! This was almost like a joke given that the knife we forgot was 500$ worth. Bottomline: im pretty sure the cleaning...

I would say that our stay was okay. Breakfast was good and crew were attentive. However, this is not a 4 star hotel as they claim ( it has a 4 star on their Building). They don't have amenities such as a telephone and flat iron in the rooms which is a must for a 4 star hotel. The refrigerator in the room is not functioning. As I saw other reviews it has always been this way for several days or months with no action taken to resolve the issue. When I raised these concern on our arrival they said they can't do anything about it. The lobby is not always clean and leaves enter the lobby because the door is left open. I would say it is still okay to book in this hotel but don't expect a 4star amenities even if you see a 4star in the booking sites. The most would be a...
