Berggasthof Rübezahl-Hütte — Hotel in Wildschönau

No friendly staff at all! We arrived at 4 (closes at 5). There was no waiter around so I went to look for one to order. He said quite annoyed that he would take the order at the table so I should wait. I asked what is the cake house, the waiter said “it’s pram cake” so I asked what was pram, never heard of that fruit (have you?). He replied “pram is in English and that’s the name, so…?” I thought maybe he meant another fruit, he could just explain what pram is instead of replying like that. We ordered it to know what it was. Then he closed the umbrella that was giving us shadow (28 degrees) without saying anything. We sat there because of the shadow. Other guests kept their umbrellas. No reason to close the umbrella, It was still one hour to close! The waiter made us felt not welcome at all. To pay, we also had to wait too long for him to come out of the house (even though he knew many people were waiting by the door to pay) just to tell us that to pay with card we needed to go to the other side (there were no indications of paying methods)… there are other terraces around so I would not...

We went here for a ski lunch with our children we’ve been here before but it has new owners and they have changed it to self service I ordered for my wife and myself goulash but when she walked in she said she didn’t fancy it so I told the waiter she didn’t want it so he went to the next table who ordered goulash so I asked could I have my 7 euros back and he said no and I asked him why he said you ordered it and we can’t put it back but I said it went to the next table you sold it to them he started shouting and threw the money at me will never return bring back the old owners they were so nice!!! Will never return and shall tell everyone...

Wir waren letzten Sonntag 4.02. hier und haben uns darauf gefreut. Komisch war schon, dass um 12 Uhr keine Skier vor der Tür standen. Na ja vielleicht sind wir etwas früh und die Hütte wird gleich voll... (Eingetreten, guten Tag gewünscht und das Personal steht hinter dem Tresen und bekommt den Mund nicht auf. Kann man nicht erwarten, einen gegebenen Gruß erwidert zu bekommen?) So richtig voll wurde es nicht. Dafür wurden um halb eins die ersten Gerichte von der Karte gestrichen. (Reste vom Vortag? Oder hat man nicht mit so einem "Ansturm" gerechnet und nur 3 Portionen vorbereitet?) Warum berauben sich die Betreiber und uns als Gäste auch um den schönsten Raum der Hütte? Ist es zu viel Arbeit, die Panoramalodge für alle Gäste zu öffnen Die ist übrigens in meinen Augen DAS Highlight dieser Hütte. Es ist traurig, dass man sich anders entschieden hat. Dafür ist es aber "sehr wichtig", dass ein Kickertisch im Gastraum steht. Schade, dass hier nur noch wenig so ist, wie wir es in Erinnerung haben. Ich wünsche den Betreibern viel Glück mit ihrem "Konzept" und gebe noch einmal zu bedenken, "never change a running system" zumindestens nicht sofort und so radikal. So etwas kommt bei keinem gut und schon gar nicht bei den Rentnern der Gegend, die regelmäßig in der Rübezahlhütte bei Sepp zum Kaffee und zum Schwätzchen eingekehrt sind. Wir haben mit den Gästen an unserem Nachbartisch gesprochen und von ihnen ähnliche Aussagen gehört. Wir haben sie dann am nächsten Tag und alle anderen Tage in einer anderen Hütte zum Mittag essen getroffen.
