Marxal Resort & Spa — Hotel in Sheki-Zaqatala

The beds in the room are very uncomfortable. Most of the rooms do not have showers (sunshine) in the toilets. There is no one to look after the bar in the room, it is a bomb. You can't be comfortable in the room at all. The maids open the room and come in and out at any time. Your presence is of no importance. They make loud noises in the corridor at all hours of the day. (Forget about sleeping!) The hotel's restaurants are busy with robberies. The portions of the food are small, but the prices are fantastic. You have to wait for a taxi to go to the restaurant. The restaurant is outside the hotel. The breakfast was empty twice. (from the cold cuts and bread). The game rooms are paid. The spa building is also outside the hotel. If you come out of the sauna and get cold, you will get cold. 1 service inside the hotel They have cars, so you have to watch it. (There is only 1 car per guest). The attitude towards the guests is very rude. We have come all the way from Baku to Sheki, and we booked 1 week ago, so I said that I wanted to call it the room because there is no (toilet, shower) in the room. do i Shall we go back to Baku? He said yes. If this is a 5-star hotel, there is no problem in the toilet and shower! This is a hotel connected to the presidential office. Aren't you ashamed?! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marxal resort in Sheki, and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The location of the hotel is one of the best in Sheki town, strategically situated to offer stunning views and convenient access to local attractions.

The staff were incredibly courteous, always greeting us with warm smiles and ensuring that our needs were met promptly. The service throughout our stay was outstanding, with every detail taken care of to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

However, I did encounter one issue after checking out. I received a WhatsApp message from the reception stating that they couldn't find the pillows on the sofa in our room. This situation was extremely awkward and embarrassing, as it felt like they were insinuating that we might have taken the pillows with us. Having stayed in similar 5-star hotels, we have never faced such an awkward situation before.

Despite this hiccup, our overall stay at the Marxal Hotel was very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sheki, as its excellent location, courteous staff, and exceptional service make it a standout choice.

Our recent stay at Marxal Resort & Spa was a truly enjoyable experience. The resort offers an exceptional combination of natural beauty, modern comfort, and excellent service. One of the standout features for us was the availability of EV charging stations on the premises—CCS2, GB/T, and Type 2 connectors, supporting up to 60kW—making it incredibly convenient for electric and hybrid car users. The food throughout our stay was outstanding, with a wide variety of options that exceeded our expectations. However, during holiday periods, the breakfast area gets quite crowded, and we had to wait for a table, so it's best to arrive early to avoid the rush.

There’s no shortage of things to do around the hotel—activities for both kids and adults are abundant, from indoor fun to outdoor adventures, ensuring everyone stays entertained. Although we experienced a minor issue with a leak from the ceiling vent due to condensation, the staff addressed it quickly and efficiently, demonstrating their commitment to guest comfort.
