Hawks Nest Resort & Marina — Hotel in Cat Island

We flew into Hawks Nest Airport in early March 2020. The runway was in great shape and there was plenty of tie down spaces. Check in was easy and quick. JR, Mary, and Anton were gracious and very helpful. ||||Our room was neat and clean and plenty of hot water for showering. ||||The restaurant was next to the bar which was open all day. Dinners were served at 7pm with a choice of fresh seafood and other land animals. ||||My only complaint would be that the lounge could open a little earlier for us early risers who like to drink coffee and check on the news back home. We decided to take an impromptu trip from Great Exuma to Cat Island to fulfill our quest of experiencing different Bahamian out-islands. Our plan quickly came together with the assistance of Anton & JR at the Hawk’s Nest Resort. We chartered a small plane from Great Exuma and within 25 minutes we landed right at the resort. We were greeted by JR, Je-Sea & Anton and immediately felt at home. The amazing staff, food and atmosphere were exactly what we needed and hoped for. Hawks Nest is where you want to go. We have been flying happy customers on private charter flights to Cat Island since 1987. And every time we do a pickup, all we hear about is beautiful diving, incredible fishing stores, and an amazing Bahamas getaway.
