A Slice of Paradise in Eleuthera Our recent trip to Eleuthera was nothing short of magical. From the moment we set foot on the island, we were embraced by its unparalleled beauty and the warm hospitality of the Bahamian people. Accommodations at Buttonwood Reserve: Our stay at Buttonwood Reserve was the epitome of luxury and convenience. Nestled on a beautiful piece of property, our condo provided breathtaking views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean sides. The central location made it incredibly easy to explore the north and south sides of the island. Condo Experience: Our condo unit was a haven of comfort, featuring modern updates and beds that ensured a good night's rest. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare meals at our leisure. A special shoutout to the recommended chef, Andrew, who skillfully catered to our large group of 16. His daily breakfasts, a delightful mix of sweet and savory, set the perfect tone for our adventures. The air conditioners kept the space cool, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration. Recreation at Buttonwood Reserve: The pickleball court added a touch of fun to our stay, and we couldn't resist organizing a friendly competition among six teams on our rest day. It was a day filled with laughter and camaraderie. Additionally, the availability of golf carts, when running, made it convenient to access the Atlantic side of the island. Chef Andrew's Culinary Delights: Andrew's warm smile in the morning and his culinary expertise in the evenings became cherished aspects of our Eleuthera experience. His dinners, showcasing both island and Bahamian flavors, were a highlight of our evenings, leaving us with memories of delectable dishes and genuine hospitality. Pam from Eleuthera Vacation Rentals: A special note of gratitude goes to Pam from Eleuthera Vacation Rentals. Her assistance was invaluable in planning our trip. Pam was prompt in returning emails and phone calls, providing us with all the necessary information and contact details. Her wealth of knowledge and support even in the midst of our journey added an extra layer of security and reassurance. Knowing we had Pam in our corner enhanced the overall ease and enjoyment of our Eleuthera experience. In summary, Eleuthera, Buttonwood Reserve, Chef Andrew, and Pam collectively created an unforgettable chapter in our travel adventures. We departed Eleuthera with hearts full of gratitude and a longing to return to this...
Read moreBeautiful serene property with amazing views and private beach. Property was well maintained and concerns were addressed immediately. The owner was responsive and receptive to questions. Although we visited this amazing island during the off season it was nothing short of amazing. Everyone on the property grounds was extremely helpful and friendly. However, Smitty was the ABSOLUTE BEST on ALL LEVELS! Smitty assisted us with navigating the island and gaining access to adventures that would have been otherwise closed during that time. He went above and beyond to assure our party of 20 had the true Eleuthera experience. Without the assistance of Smitty I’m not certain our trip would’ve been as successful. We most definitely will be returning but rest assure we will first confirm that Smitty is still employed at the property prior to booking. Highly recommend🇧🇸

Read moreWe’ve really enjoyed our stay here at the Buttonwood Reserve. It has a wonderful view of the Caribbean side of the island. There’s a nice dock down on the beach, which is great for kayaking and beginner snorkelling. We had a great day snorkelling off the dock. The water was very clear and calm, with some neat fish to watch.
You can take a golf cart down a long path to access the Atlantic beach, which has good waves and shells. This side is quite nice with beautiful water and a pretty beach. If you walk south on the beach you’ll probably come across quite a bit of trash and debris. Heading north for us was clean and very pretty.
The unit was beautiful and perfect for a family. With an open main area, it kept everyone together nicely. There is also a nice pool which was great for an evening dip after the beach.
One thing we didn’t like: there were a lot of little bugs (sand flies) biting us here. They seem to be everywhere, but we found them to be particularly bad around sunset. We stayed in mid June.
Overall we had a great experience. I would recommend...
