Helios House — Hotel in Central Eleuthera

Helios House is one of my favorite properties in Eleuthera. Large and with great eminence, it is a well thought out home, with multiple living and entertaining spaces, both inside and out. It serves a large group well, since you can spread out or congregate. From the property the house feels completely private, even though both Governors Harbour and Palmetto Point are short drives away. The dirt roads that lead to the house off paved Banks Road are medium rough, but not treacherous like some others on the island. The pool is beautiful, and a treat when the Atlantic waters are too rough. The beach is very good, wide enough, and good for walking. To the north are some fun tidal pools. Decent beach snorkeling, but better a bit south. Don't miss the view from the tower deck during the day, a commanding vista of the yard, beach and ocean! We had strong breezes almost every day, keeping the bugs away. The owner Bertrand is easy to work with and very communicative, and he is always updating & improving the property.
