If you're looking for a full service resort or a social scene, Sky Beach Club is not the place to go. If you want peace & quiet in a relatively affordable (for Eleuthera) beachfront location then maybe it is. The sandy beach is long, great for walking and swimming, if the wind off the Atlantic is not too strong. However, there's a lot of garbage above the high tide line, washed ashore from ships dumping at sea and also no shade or place to sit. The beach pavilion shown in photos has been damaged and closed ; and though management said there would be chaises on the beach, none showed up during my 5-night stay. The hot tub shown in pictures is also closed. The pool is nice, but was quite cold during my stay, maybe because of a lot of rain prior to my visit. It also has a rough, toe-scraping bottom. On the plus side there were hardly any people using the pool or the beach during my stay. Sky Beach Club basically consists of several villas up on the hill and three 2-person bungalows next to the pool, bar and restaurant just a flight of steps above the beach. Only Bungalow #1 has a real view of the ocean and pool. The restaurant is not elegant but the food was very good. It does not open until noon and is closed on Mondays. Set up for doing breakfast in the bungalows is fine—microwave, toaster, frig, coffee maker, coffee and dishes—and eating a quiet breakfast on my terrace looking out at the ocean was nice. Besides an ample terrace, the bungalow was spacious, modern and had a huge bathroom, including a shower large enough for 2+ and a comfortable soaking tub with air jets. The main drawback of the place was no staff or management on site. This meant that (for American phone services) everything from check-in to any questions or issues was an international phone call to the management—and cell service was usually one bar. My issues were not major, just annoying to have to chase down, including lights burned out in bedroom (fixed), TV not working (not fixed), no cushions for terrace furniture (out being repaired), running out of coffee packets (took two days and 4 calls to get resupply, which was a jar of instant). Also take heed that the road into the club is one of the worst I've ever driven, all rocks and deep ruts up over a hill and then down again—my rental car made it, but very slow...
Read moreWe loved our stay at Sky beach club bungalow 1. Starting with the booking process, and communication. It was super simple. We had great communication with Pam and Eleuthera vacation rentals. The bungalow is large. It had a small refrigerator that held all our refreshments (kalik’s and tequila), and some snacks that needed to be refrigerated. It also had a small coffee maker, but you have to bring your own coffee. There was a TV in the room that never got turned on. Bungalow one has a great patio that overlooks the pool at Pascal’s and the ocean. We were fortunate to have a great breeze the whole week, and did not have to worry about any bugs. The pool on property is available anytime you want. Even after Pascal’s closes you can use the pool. The walk to the beach is maybe 45 seconds, and an easy trail down there. One of the best Atlantic beaches in island. There is no room service, or anyone on property for the resort. However, we did not need that. There were a couple questions we had that I texted the property manager, Mekell, and he responded instantly. We went to Pascal’s for dinner a few nights and hung out at the bar with Sammy and juju every night. They really make you feel at home and makes your stay at Sky Beach Club even more special. As for the road down, yes, it is bumpy, but we had a low clearance vehicle that had no problem with it, just take your time. If you are going to explore any of the beaches on the island, this road is a lot like the ones you will be riding on. We would definitely stay at Sky Beach Club again. If we were going to stay in a bungalow, I would definitely choose bungalow one because it has the best view, however bungalow two and three also have good views. If you were looking for a five star, bougie resort, I don’t know if you’ll find that anywhere on the island. Come to Eleuthera to experience the culture and true island life. And location of Sky Beach Club is perfect, close to Governors Harbor, and in the middle of the island, easy to head...
Read moreI recently celebrated my 50th birthday at the stunning Sky Beach Club in Eleuthera, Bahamas, and it exceeded all expectations! Our group of ten, hailing from Chicago, had the most incredible time, creating unforgettable memories.
From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as portrayed in the pictures online—truly a paradise! The villas were beautifully appointed and spacious, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and celebration. Each morning, we were greeted with breathtaking views of the turquoise waters that felt like a dream.
Our adventures were equally amazing. For many of us, it was our first visit to the island, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We took a day trip to nearby Harbour Island, where we were mesmerized by the famous pink sand beaches. Walking along the shoreline, soaking up the sun, and enjoying each other's company was pure bliss!
The staff at Sky Beach Club were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. From arranging activities to recommending local restaurants, their hospitality made us feel welcomed and cherished.
In summary, celebrating my 50th birthday at Sky Beach Club was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It offered everything we could have hoped for: beauty, adventure, and camaraderie. I highly recommend this paradise to anyone looking to escape to the Bahamas for an unforgettable getaway! Thank you, Sky Beach Club, for making my birthday celebration...
