If you have a friend living in the resort you can enter at the security, as the resort is not open to public. Hamala Beach Resort has THE best sunset on the island with a multitude of colours painting the skies and open sea front. There is a beach with beach volleyball and stretchers which gives a feeling of being in Bali, yet it's also enclosed by the reclaimed area, so it's not a 10/10 beach as such. There is a swiming pool (heated and cooled), a mini-golf, tennis courts, gym, playground and a restaurant with a good menu, healthy kid's options (fresh fish for the fish fingers) and great cappucinno and coffee. Ask for any adjustments or diet requirements, the chef can quite easily suit to your needs. The resort is a regular place for fishing and discovering marine life on the small boulevard or with snorkling on the shore side. In the winter season the flamingos flock. You can have a professional swim or race in the sea canal. If you would like to enjoy this compound, enjoy the swimming pool with a breakfast and see how the community lives in this area of Hamala and Al-Jasra between the millions of palm trees, you can book a roomin the boutique hotel at a very competitive daily, weekly or monthly rate. The management is super friendly and you'll enjoy your mini-holiday not...
Read moreLike in the title... Its not a boutique resort - that doesn't mean its bad - at places its got this feeling of a 'good' motel with lotsa a space around and nice big pool and beach access - complete lack of traffic noise and fumes!! ||Its feels great - especially if you have restless kids - theres nearly 3-4 acres of space - hard to find that kind of space at these rates in Bahrain! ||Great place to unwind if you are in after a tough weekend||The rooms are average ( motel-esque) saw some rooms being renovated - think they will be available soon! There is an feel of ageing in some of the rooms.||Beware :- service is VIRTUALLY NON EXISTENT AFTER 6 !SURPRISE !!! But when they are around its again a mixed bag - some of the staff are nice and courteous, some are downright arrogant and clumsy. But the place is kept clean.||I keep coming back coz there are lotsa familiar faces - regular patrons, despite the not very great food.... Its still got this rustic...

Restaurant offered good food, although it felt like the continental breakfast pastries were warmed in a microwave oven.||Cons - no real social atmosphere and no bar. I realise Bahrain is a no-alcohol country, but this resort tends to be an ex-pat complex, with many British people living here. Hence, a bar would offer a more social hub. Nevertheless, if you seek alcohol, this can be ordered in (the guys at the security gate can receive deliveries for you).||Overall, big rooms (in the chalet) and its a great place to relax on the pseudo beach and/or by the pool. It also offers good car access to the island (being away from Manama) and Bahrain International Circuit. However, not the most welcoming surrounds nearby, so not sure I would recommend a walk around the local area.||Safe, secure, friendly,...
