Our family stayed at this resort for one night and had a mixed experience. The villa itself was beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for our stay. However, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our overall enjoyment.
Firstly, the villa lacked sufficient towels. Despite being a family of four, we only found two towels for the shower and none for the private swimming pool. This oversight was inconvenient and unexpected, detracting from the otherwise luxurious feel of the villa.
Additionally, the service at the resort’s restaurant was disappointingly slow. Our dining experience was marred by long waits for both service and food, which was frustrating given the high expectations set by the resort's reputation.
One of the most significant issues was the resort’s modest attire policy, which we were not informed about prior to our arrival. The resort maintains a very modest dress code, which extends to the pool areas. This created a problem for us as our ten-year-old daughter only had her bikini with her. We felt uncomfortable letting her use the main pool with the slides, as everyone else was covered from head to toe. The lack of a clear dress code and the allowance of regular shorts and t-shirts in the pool created an awkward and unenjoyable situation for our family.
Had we been informed about this policy in advance, we could have planned accordingly. The resort should clearly communicate its attire expectations to guests before their arrival to prevent such inconveniences.
Overall, while the resort has potential with its lovely villas and amenities, several key areas need improvement. Better communication regarding attire policies and more attentive service could significantly enhance the guest experience. For now, we cannot fully recommend this resort due to the issues we encountered...
Read moreYou are paying very high price for having your own pool, with not so great accommodation or restaurants. Pool very beautiful, but the entrance tiles very slippery and no hand rail, can be dangerous. Water was warm after 2pm. Plastic pool beds broken underneath (nobody would think to check) so very awkward to get on or off. Our expectations were high as it is a 4 🌟... But tired stained wooden bedroom furniture. Flying ants inside The kitchen blind discustingly filthy, chopping board not cleaned after the previous guests, put back in the cupboard and smelt like sick 🤮 couldn't /wouldn't use it. The veiw restaurant, only us there nobody else, they forgot one of the meals ordered, then the main course came at the same time as the appetizers. Food was OK. Location great. The breakfast restaurant, again only 4 people in side, took 15 minutes to make a coffee from the nespresso machine on the desk, not a 4 star venue, food OK. On returning there 1 night to eat, 1 table of 2 only inside, took 2 requests for the drinks we ordered, and then served after our food arrived. What will they do if it's busy? The mixed grill was nice. The beach was nice wooden beds, the sea very shallow, and muddy kind of sand. When having to call reception to follow up on anything you have requested, the phone isn't answered. Overall a very disspointing stay for a resort that is rated 4 🌟. You are paying over the top price to have...
Read moreThis is a review of my second experience at Jaw resort. The 2 bedrooms villa was perfect for a family of 5, very clean, nice heated pool and nice stuff inside as I said u will have all the comfort. In the villa, I've noticed a major problem with the A.C, it's so noisy so blowing cold air is really uncomfortable particularly at night... this was on 1st April so I cannot imagine during summer! But the main problem of Jaw is the poor quality of restaurant! Paying 5.8bd (price on the card is without taxes so 4.8 + 20%) for a local breakfast which cost less than 1bd in a local coffee shop is absurd or paying 5.8bd for a English breakfast with 2 frozen sausage, Almarai bread simply toasted, and a can of Heinz beans is more than absurd! The dinner was as well a total fail! Serving a Jaw Special Burger (🤦♂️signature burger) no sauce, dry bread, a frozen beef patty and a slice of Nabil Turkey for the bacon for a price of 4.5bd. The burger was returned back to the restaurant and they offered a replacement but I rejected it! It's not tolerable. Believe me, it's much better to bring a box of Kellogg's for your breakfast and order a Mc Donald's for your dinner ( is at 5 min by driving near Askar school). At least you will save 96bd (this was the price for the half board offer ! Al hamdoulilah I didn't take it) and you will appreciate the kitchen of...
