Our experience at this resort was extremely disappointing. We came all the way from Qatar expecting a good villa. I do NOT recommend this resort to anyone, and here’s why:
First, the pool was filthy. When we first checked in, our kids went into the pool, and as soon as they entered, even before the water reached their hair, one of the kids was bitten by insects inside the pool. She developed a rash; her arm turned red and itchy, and she couldn’t bear the discomfort. If we had taken her to the hospital immediately, we would have obtained a report that could have been used against the resort for their poor hygiene. We had to wait until the next day for the staff to change the water. Even the staff admitted the pool was dirty and took photos of it.
Second, they promised to change the pool water at 5:00 am, stating it would take 8 hours (4 hours to drain the water, and 4 hours to refill). I woke up at 6:30 am to remind them, but they didn't start until 8:30 am. We left the villa at 4:30 pm, and the pool was still not filled. The pool's hygiene should be maintained after every guest, not upon request !
Third, the staff were rude and unprofessional. After repeatedly asking them to change the pool water, they shouted at us, saying we should leave the villa immediately or we will face extra charges, even though our checkout is scheduled for tomorrow. The staff's behavior was unacceptable.
Our stay was reduced to watching TV and sitting in the living room. We traveled all the way from Qatar only to end up sitting indoors watching TV. A gathering that we have planned with family from Saudi and Bahrain (and us from Qatar) was canceled due to the villa's poor hygiene and maintenance.

I have visited Nordic before, And I enjoyed it in everything, I recommended it for my family.
However, we were surprised with the rudeness of their staff this time, very unprofessional, rude, disrespectful for the guests, uncooperative at all.
We stayed for 3 days, we asked them to turn on the gym Jacuzzi, Sauna, steam room, they didn’t and they didn’t explain why? They were just saying we will turn in on.. ok when???
In addition, they refused to return the deposit, and wanted to charge us 130 B.D extra, as they claimed the bed sheet were dirty??? Isn’t they should clean for every new guest??? And ironically they said either we pay 130 B.D or we should clean the bed sheet by our self before we leave!!!!
I haven’t seen any hotel or resorts asking about the towels or bed sheets as its part of the service and as a guest we have the right to ask for extra ones, but Nordic not only asking about it but also they want it to be cleaned!!!!
I read their policy many times, its not written anywhere that everything should be cleaned by guests. The receptionist conducts was totally against their own policy.
We asked for any duty supervisor or boss to come, but the receptionist refused to contact them, and he was contacting the security man to wasted more than 2 hours for a silly thing, lastly we went to the house keeping office and asked them to connect us with the supervisor where he admitted that receptionist is wrong and lastly they gave us the deposit!!!! Ok after what????

The concept for this place is nice. Big spacious villas in a compound with kids play area and cafe (we didn't try the food) and communal pool as well as private pool in the villa. However, the villa I stayed in (villa 9) was very dated. Had to call maintenance twice for water leaks. The first leak was outside, which didn't affect us, but the second leak was in the living room, and water was dripping from a spot light onto the sofa. There were watermarks there anyway, and that spotlight was not on, so I'm guessing this is not a new issue. Also, the maintenance man was not surprised by this leak. The master bedroom in the villa I stayed in was very damp and humid due to the bedroom jacuzzi. The door is not a properly sealed door, and the damp in the room was uncomfortable. When we first arrived, the villa wasn't particularly clean, so we cleaned inside and didn't use housekeeping. The pool and jacuzzi were not used as I didn't trust it would be properly cleaned. Our swimming pool pump also overheated, and we had to have maintenance come and switch it off. In another bedroom, the curtains had many holes that looked like maybe moths had eaten it away. This made it difficult to sleep once the sun came up. The front door needs to be double locked or it can be pushed open, and the backdoor needs to be locked or it swings open. As I said, it's a good concept, especially for families and large groups, but the place is tired and dated and in need of some repairs. I appreciate it's a low-budget place, but maintenance...
