A Memorable Stay at Hotel Grand Park Barisal with Friends.... Our recent trip to Barisal was made even more enjoyable thanks to our comfortable and convenient stay at Hotel Grand Park. Travelling with a group of friends, we were looking for a hotel that could accommodate us well, offer good amenities, and be centrally located, and Hotel Grand Park largely delivered on these fronts. Location and First Impressions: The hotel boasts a prime location in Barisal, making it easy to access various parts of the city. Upon arrival, the hotel's exterior presented a modern and welcoming facade. The lobby was spacious and well-maintained, with a pleasant ambiance. Check-in was relatively smooth, though a bit slow considering our group size. The staff at the reception were polite and tried their best to assist us. Rooms and Comfort: We had booked multiple rooms, and thankfully, they were all quite comfortable and well-appointed. The rooms were spacious enough to accommodate two people comfortably, with modern decor and essential amenities. We appreciated the comfortable beds, clean linen, and efficient air conditioning, which was a welcome relief in the Barisal heat. Each room also had a television with cable channels, a mini-fridge, and a safe. The en-suite bathrooms were clean and functional, with a good supply of toiletries and hot water. Facilities and Services: Hotel Grand Park offers a range of facilities that enhanced our stay. The on-site restaurant was a definite plus, serving a decent variety of local and international cuisine. While the breakfast buffet could have had a wider selection, the food was generally tasty and satisfying. We also appreciated the availability of room service, which was prompt and efficient. The hotel also features a banquet hall, which seemed to be a popular venue for events. While we didn't utilize this ourselves, it indicated the hotel's capacity to handle larger groups. We also noted the presence of a business center, which could be useful for business travelers. Staff and Hospitality: The staff at Hotel Grand Park were generally courteous and helpful. While there were a few instances of minor delays or communication gaps, overall, their willingness to assist was commendable. The housekeeping service was efficient, and our rooms were kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. Areas for Improvement: While our stay was largely positive, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve. As mentioned earlier, the breakfast buffet could offer more variety. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connectivity in some of our rooms was a bit inconsistent at times. A dedicated concierge service could also further enhance the guest experience, especially for those unfamiliar with the city. Overall Experience: Despite a few minor drawbacks, our stay at Hotel Grand Park Barisal was a pleasant and memorable one. The comfortable rooms, convenient location, and generally helpful staff made it a good base for our exploration of Barisal. It offered good value for money and was a suitable choice for a group of friends travelling together. We would definitely consider staying here again on a future...
Read moreSorry to say, I didn't like their decisions about providing UNEQUAL services to their guests.... which reminded me typical Barisailla traits. .... Firstly (in 2017), their breakfast is complimentary but during the holy month of Ramadan they refused to provide complimentary sehri instead of breakfast, rather they offered complimentary iftar which was too little in amount, they arranged a separate table for their fasting room-guests literally with only chola-muri-khejur-pani-piaji-beguni (even no juice/sorbot) and ASTONISHINGLY THEY ARRANGED PLENTY OF DELICIOUS IFTAR ITEMS IN THE SAME DINING ROOM FOR THEIR OTHER GUESTS WHO PAID FOR THE SET-MENU OF IFTAR. THE HOTEL AUTHORITY EXERCISES SUCH DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICE IN THE SAME ROOM WITH THEIR FASTING-MUSLIM GUESTS!!!!! HOW WOULD ONE FEEL BY EXPERIENCING SUCH DISCRIMINATORY AND HUMILIATING BEHAVIOUR WHILE BREAKING FAST AFTER A LONG TIRING FIELD ACTIVITIES THAT YOU DIDN'T EVEN TAKE THE COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST AND HAVING SUCH POOR MENU IN THE IFTAR AND RIGHT BESIDE YOUR TABLE THERE ARE PLENTY OF DELICIOUS FOODS FOR THE OTHER GUESTS SITTING JUST AROUND YOU IN OTHER TABLES AND THE STEWARD CLEARLY SUGGESTS THAT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE THE OTHER ITEMS BECAUSE YOU ARE ROOM-GUESTS. WE FELT SO OFFENDED. This is not a right behavior with the fasting muslims. This is a shame that during the holy month of ramadan they are providing varieties of foods for the non-fasting guests in the breakfast but LITERALLY VERY LITTLE for the fasting muslim lodging-guests. This way, they clearly humiliated the practicing muslim guests who use to fast during ramadan. I talked to the head of the concern department (perhaps customer relation dept.) but we failed to make him understand that this is a wrong practice in a country where majority are muslims who fast during ramadan. ...... Apart from this, in a separate visit in the same hotel during March'18 they took a penalty of 300 or 400 taka from me because one cover of drinking water-glass (coaster) was missing from the room and I had no clue about that coaster!!!!......... They are so impolite and discourteous (Typical Barisailla) that they didn't even care to ask me if I had seen that coaster during checkout. I just paid the penalty without discussing any further because I was getting late...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Grand Park, Barisal during an official visit, and my overall experience was excellent from start to finish.
The hotel maintains a very clean, well-organized, and welcoming environment. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for both business and leisure stays. The housekeeping team does a great job of keeping everything spotless.
One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The taste, quality, and portion size are absolutely worth the money. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every meal was fresh and well-prepared. We even arrived very late at night—around 2:00 AM—and still managed to get freshly prepared food delivered to our room within just 20 minutes of ordering. That level of service is truly impressive and shows how dedicated the staff are to guest satisfaction.
Customer service is truly top-notch here. From the moment I checked in, every staff member I interacted with was polite, helpful, and genuinely eager to make my stay comfortable. They were quick to respond to any request and always greeted me with a smile.
Even though this visit was for work, I enjoyed my time so much that I am already planning to return—next time with my family—so that they can also experience the warm hospitality, relaxing atmosphere, and great food that Hotel Grand Park offers.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Barisal, whether for...
