Kuakata guest House was a real find. It is set back from the main road of Kuakata and so much quieter than the hotels on that road. It is a 2 or 3 story sparklingly clean, airy, friendly place. Manager Helal can arrange just about anything you need, from onward bus tickets, to trips into the surrounding waterworld. It is a short walk to the beach, passing tea shops, restaurants,a row of the BEST barbers (who include a facial and massage as part of the deal). The market is right down the street. The staff, especially Manager Halal, is welcoming and wonderfully helpful.He got us bus tickets to return to Barisal and walked us to the place to book a trip to the island. The garden is lovely.
