Hotel Sonar Bangla — Hotel in Chattogram Division

Fantastic hotel, top notch service and very conveniently placed.

Rooms were just as advertised. AC worked well, there was a small LED TV, the TV can be jittery in some cases, ask the reception for a fix and it will be taken care of. Washrooms are clean, has a geyser, comes with toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet papers and a bar of soap. Bring your own shampoo and body wash if you need it. There’s a small balcony accompanying each room that are great to dry off your clothes. There were no refrigerators or water heating kettles in the room. You can ask the reception if you need warm drinking water.

Service was impressive, we got pretty much everything we asked for. Rooms were cleaned on demand, water bottles replenished, extra pillows and good food. Shoutout to the boy named Mong who was very helpful throughout our 2 night’s stay.

The location of the hotel is also very convenient. All buses that move through the city can drop off or pick you up from right in front of the hotel. Lots of mom and pop stores around the hotel. Numerous restaurants to eat from as well. The hotel has it's own restaurant, be sure to let them know beforehand if you plan to eat in it.

There’s a nice and accessible rooftop in the 6th floor with partial views of the lake. 2 underground floors for parking.

To end I would like to say that when I saw a lot of negative reviews about this hotel, I was skeptical about coming here but I am glad we decided to come, I would highly recommend this place...

I’m traveller from malaysia. I visited this hotel on 12/9/2022. We stay 2 night here. The hotel is new. There’re still working on the lvl 3 onwards. Hence the level 1 and 2 already complete. The hotel have 360 degree view of kaptai lake. U can see sunrise and sunset at the top floor. The design of hotel is modern contemporary. Love the idea how they treat the ceiling with louvers style. Perhaps the concept is water.

They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 10am. The sevice was exceptional as well. Especially the manager mr yusof. He is very friendly. The food also consider good serving local cuisine. The restaurant manager also so professional. Seeing like he is well trained. Btw try the chai and seat facing the window. It’s so memorable time.

1 think they can improve is the toiletries items. Instead gave the customer in packet version. Mayb the hotel can provide in the small bottle. Much more presentable. Overall I had a good time here and Would definitely send a...
