We got scammed by Meghadree Eco Resort, Sajek. The first pic attached is the room we got.

The day we called them to ask if they had any available rooms for two couples, they happily took our booking. We paid 2000 taka by bKash as the booking money. The rooms at Sangrail cost us 11000 taka so we were expecting similar standard of rooms at Meghadree as well at 9000 taka. Also, bills are supposed to be paid when checking out (as we did in Sangrail), but Meghadree demanded we pay full while checking in.

Now, they never told us that the room they are going to give us is a double bedded room. Point to be noted, we are a couple and we have no use of the second bed in the room. On the first day of our trip to Sajek, we stayed at Sangrail and we were very happy with the resort. It was simply Phenomenal. Problem occurred when we checked out from Sangrail and went to Meghadree. Things went really out of hand when we were shown our rooms. The two rooms were on the opposite sides on the second floor. Almost similar looking, two beds, one bathroom and a balcony. There wasn't even a mirror in the room. The bathroom door was rotten and broken, there was no lock, there were no mirrors, the bucket, mug and dustbin was quite dirty. The shower didn't work properly. Our friends' room was filled with an odor from the gutters of the bathroom. The room wasn't suitable for couples at all - maybe for bachelor single guys (girl groups can't stay there at all!) We were immediately upset but we never said anything to them and spent the noon at the room getting freshened up, and getting ready to visit Konglak pahar. We were tremendously lucky, there were clouds and rain. Also, tremendously unlucky because when we returned to our room at night, the roof was leaking, there was no electricity, no light in the room. The bulb was fused and one of the bed was drenched. Also the carpet. The room our friends had was also leaking additional to the foul bathroom smell they had (which had increased by the time we returned to the hotel because doors were locked). Our husbands immediately went to fetch the staff and complained. We had put phone torch on. The manager came and we had a discussion of about 45 minutes. The staff was whispering to the manager, "I have already complained of the smell but the owner disregarded it". Then they told us they can offer us two of their cottages. Fine by us as long as they met the lowest of our expectations we had left. We switched to Chayanir Eco Resort, they gave us two adjacent rooms. It was a small cottage with only a bed, a small space to walk, a bathroom and a balcony. Fine by us, far better than what we had at Meghadree (nothing compared to Sangrail). I won't even give them a one-star rating. They apologised and said if we needed anything, we can ask. We could have asked for discounts for the disservice but we didn't, we were relieved that we got out of the foul smelling, double bedded rooms. But unfortunately, the cottage water was contaminated - it had very foul smell and taste. I went to wash my face and brush my teeth and immediately vomited (later we used bottled water). But we didn't make a complaint because it was 10 o' clock and we were hungry and tired.

Fast forward to the next day at 10 a.m. We went to pay our bills. So, the two rooms at Meghadree is charged 9000 taka. The two rooms at Chayanir was cost 8000 taka. Because we changed the room and spent the night at Chayanir, we expected to pay a bill of 8000 taka.

But they asked for a solid 9000 taka because we used the broken washroom , opened the 2 liters water bottle and slept on one of the beds of Maghadree. They had given us unsuitable, and below average room with disgusting environment and had the audacity to even charge for it. They didn't even offer us any discount for the disservice ( we weren't even expecting, we wanted to pay full price for Chayanir). But what they did was outrageous. They are simply scammers if not anything else. Now we know why they wanted us to pay the full price even while checking in. What...

I had a truly disappointing stay at Meghadrik Eco Resort. What was supposed to be a peaceful getaway turned into a frustrating and uncomfortable experience. • The bathroom smell was so bad it spread into the entire room, making it hard to even stay inside. • The room itself had leaking rainwater, which made everything damp and unpleasant. • There were electrical issues, including flickering lights and unreliable power.

After several complaints and, we were finally moved to a different resort chayanir eco resort— but even then, Meghadrik had the audacity to charge us for the original booking because we used water .

Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I would strongly advise against booking Meghadrik Eco Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing or even...

Unexpected & Horrible Behaviour. I booked a room by bkash for my Family trip before 10 days of my travel date. On the day before my departure for Sajek I received a call from Resort Manager. He said they have cancelled my booking. And managed another resort for us. While I reached Sajek and found that the shifted resort was lower quality and they showed us another resort which is also lower quality. I FACED VERY HORRIBLE SITUATION AFTER LONG JOURNEY WITH MY WIFE & CHILDREN. BUT THEY DON'T HAVE ANY REPENTANCE FOR THIS SITUATION. AFTER LONG DISCUSSION I GOT REFUND MY BOOKING MONEY & MANAGED ANOTHER ONE. WHAT A BITTER EXPERIENCE ON FIRST TIME...

So I have to pay for their bad service? Very funny. I told them that in such a situation, if they had any sense of responsibility, they would offer a discount. I’m not even asking for a discount — I just want to pay for the night I actually stayed. The room I stayed in cost 8,000 BDT for two rooms, while the previous one cost 9,000 BDT for two rooms. It’s completely unfair.
