A truly peaceful, isolated beachside resort far away from the city's chaos – a beautiful retreat.

The wooden rooms were an absolute delight to experience. Each one has a very spacious washroom, with plenty of flower trees surrounding the area. There are also wooden walkways to roam around, and a beautifully designed lobby with a classy view.

Currently, Moon Nest has a total of 7 rooms across 3 categories:

4 Wooden Bungalows (2 AC and 2 Non-AC)

2 Crab Houses

1 Premium Suite

Every room has been built with thoughtful architecture and design, which honestly impressed me a lot.

Even in the middle of intense summer heat, the resort maintains a naturally cool ambiance thanks to its greenery. It's a private and secure place, with dedicated security staff. Since the owners also operate the nearby CampingCox Resort, safety is clearly a priority.

At first, I felt the room prices were a bit on the higher side. But after experiencing the overall environment, my perception changed — it’s absolutely worth the money.

They serve fresh food daily. While there’s no swimming pool, the complimentary breakfast more than made up for it. The spread includes traditional homemade ruti, vegetables, eggs, organic fruit juices, breads, pancakes with butter, jelly, and honey. I had this breakfast two days in a row and it felt incredibly refreshing. They also serve lunch and dinner. The food tastes fresh and flavorful, though I did find the pricing slightly high — especially for the fresh juices.

For lunch or dinner, you can order seafood items, grilled chicken, local curries, daal, rice, fried rice, and more.

Booking: Rooms can be booked via their WhatsApp number. Full payment is required at the time of booking. They usually have a no-refund policy, but if there's any glitch from their end, they may offer a refund based on the situation. I received a 50% discount at the time, which I believe varies by season.

Transportation: It’s easy to reach from Dolphin Mor by CNG or auto-rickshaw — the fare is around 300–400 BDT. The resort is located midway between Kolatoli Beach and Inani Beach. They also referred me to their trusted transport contact, Saiful Bhai, who handled all of my trips reliably, day and night. He was especially helpful with baggage handling.

Photogenic Location: This is one of the best places for a couple's photoshoot. Wearing traditional outfits like sarees or salwars really enhances the aesthetic in photos. The service staff were friendly and even helped take group pictures upon request.

Beach Access: The beach is just a 5–7 minute walk from the resort. I recommend returning by 7:30 PM as the area becomes quite deserted after sunset. That said, the quietness of that moment was one of the best parts of the experience.

Internet: Due to recent expansion work on Marine Drive Road, there were some internet connectivity issues. I couldn’t access the internet from my room, but it worked fine outside. Hopefully, the Moon Nest team will resolve this soon.

Moon Nest is undoubtedly worth the money if you're planning to visit with someone special. I’ll definitely go back again with friends when I get the chance. If you haven’t experienced it yet, I’d highly recommend it — especially if you’re looking to take a fresh breath away...

Their customer service is highly unprofessional and rude.

I queried for a honeymoon package in messenger and they responded quiet well. They offered a 2nights honeymoon package with full board meal. The offer seemed lucrative and that's why I planned to visit this place. Then they shared a contact number for detailed query and reservation. I called and one consultant named Mr. SHAHIN received. He changed my mind to travel at Moon Nest with his extremely unprofessional and rude behavior. He doesn't know how to serve a client with proper gesture.

The story is , (From the very beginning his tone was so rude and it felt like he was the client, not me. How funny!!!)

I asked him, "Is the price fixed or you can give me a discount on this price?" Mr. Shahin replied, "No it's fixed and the price is already discounted." (Till this conversation everything was good enough.)

Then I said, "So what's the procedure of confirming the package?" Mr. Shahin replied, "You need to pay 100% for confirming the booking now."

I said, "Can I pay 30-40% in advance and pay the rest before the check in? Mr. Shahin sounded angry after listening this and replied, "দিলে দিবেন, না দিলে নাই। এটাই আমাদের policy. আপনি দিলে দিবেন, না দিলে দিবেন না!!"

Then I asked, "Bhaiya, giving 100% advance is a bit risky. Is it refundable or partially refundable if I can't travel. If you take 50% advance and I give the rest before check in, then it will be much helpful for me." Mr. Shahin replied, "It is non refundable. আর আপনাকে প্যাকেজ নিতে হইলে এভাবেই নিতে হবে।"

I said, "Can I reissue the dates at least incase of emergency?" Mr. Shahin replied, "নাহ পারবেন না। Non refundable, non changeable. Date miss করলে আপনার টাকা বাদ হয়ে চলে যাবে। কিছুই পাবেন না।"

I replied, "I can't even change the date!!"

I replied, "I was confirmed to visit you and tonight I was planning to purchase the bus tickets but now you make me think about my decision." Mr. Shahin replied, "হ্যাঁ চিন্তা করেন!!"

Lastly I asked, "What's your name?" Mr. Shahin replied, "আমি শাহীন।"

I concluded by saying that "See brother, the problem isn't the resort policy of giving 100% payment as advance or else that I'm thinking on. The problem is the way you served me. Thank you for your service!" I would like to draw some attention to the authority to educate their agents regarding their behavior and professionalism. I had a big wish to visit this place from last year after one of my cousin visited here. Finally I got some time and the wish seemed awfully disappointing. So much...

Honestly, we visited recently and we had huge expectation in our mind based on review in facebook and google. So I m writing review based on what we experienced. Positive Review: Its away from main city so moon nest has natural beauty, calm and quite environment.Excellent Eco and village thrill. You can have saint martin like experience in this resort. Beach is 10 mins walking distance from here.. Stuff's behaviour is nice and friendly. Food tastes average but nicely decorated. Only resort guest are allowed so you can have less crowd around you. For couple and honeymoon package they make candle light dinner which is really special for anyones lifetime memories.

Negative Review: Small size cottage, only 4 cottage available here. No AC, No Television as it is eco cotttage. But we had terrible experience as electeicty was off and they were out of fuel for generator. So we had to stay outside with kids for 2.30hr for the generator to work on..From our side, its a negative point as they should keep reserve fuel considering local and international guests. Food menu is so short so we were out of choices. They should consider variety of food menu. Besides, cost of snacks and beverage is quite expensive considering quantity and taste. Lack of professionalism, no welcoming drinks or appreciation on welcoming guests. Entry road is muddy, communication is difficult from main road. You have to walk for 5 mins along the land aile to reach resort. Mosquito, cockroaches are always in the room as part of eco thrill. They should colour the resort and maintain properly as it is becoming old.

I think, it is one of the nice resort in coxsbazar..But with little effort from the management may make it worth memorrable for tge guest who visit this resort.Good luck...

Moon nest is a PERFECT a isolation in nature and wilderness away from crowd and city life. Cox's Bazar is no where near my first choice for sea trip because the main beaches (in Kolatoli) are polluted by too many people, dirt, and light. So, during this late Ramadan (of 2023), when I saw an emtpy Cox's Bazar and heard the name of Moon nest, I saw an opportunity and I took it. I stayed on night at Moon nest with 50% offer on their original rent. I am not sure if I will prefer staying there spending 6k a night, but my stay spending 3k per night was totally worth it. The nest (cottage) itself is an aesthetic piece of room, it’s specious, it’s full of light and air, you just want to stay there. Outside of the room is even mesmerising with the presence of constant supply of breeze coming from the beach that lies beneath a "Jhau bon" in front of this nest. 5 ★ location: Moon nest didn’t invade the ecology and nature there, it didn’t unnecessarily cut down tree and mangrove bushes. This nest has a harmonic existence with it's surrounding nature. And the surrounding of this nest evokes such a desolation of wilderness that you will love to be in if you specifically looking for such seclusion; there’s mangrove jungle along the canal, she-oke jungle along the entrance of the beace. And the beace itself is clean, fresh, an unbothered habitate of red crabs. 5 ★ service: the food was SO good, the chef there knows what he is doing. The staff's reception was cordial, their behaviour was kind. Highly recommended. I would love to visit there again (in Ramadan of course :p)
