For a long time Parjatan Motel in Rangamati has been the only good place to stay as family.. though travelers never mind any places for stay..! However, families with small children need.||||This time in late September I visited Rangamati as I was cycling through the Hill Tract districts from Bandarban to Rangamati to Khagrachhari, so needed an overnight stay. At the beginning, I tried to avoid the Parjatan from my experience in its old building last time (may be 10 years back)..! But, to my surprise people still recommend me this place. And, I later came to know that is because a new and bigger hotel building has been constructed in the mean time and that is found to be good.||||Being damn tired of 62+ Km cycling on the hills throughout the day and needed a good night sleep. So, took an air conditioned room on the 4th floor. The room was good, fresh, clean with a soft bed. The AC worked well, there was large sized bathroom attached that was also neat and clean. ||||The best thing about the room was it its view from the backside private balcony towards the lake, it was a moon lit night and reflection of the moon light on the Kaptai lake was an amazing experience, the dawn and, obviously the sun rise in the morning...!!! And, this is what made me confirmed that it was a great decision for me choosing the Parjatan Rangamati..!||||It was bed and breakfast, but in the morning it felt like the management and staff were not appropriately capable of managing such a huge load of 80 people at once. So, some improvements are required in this area.||||Being a government facility this is a large campus.. but you may also find many people coming to visit the place because of the natural beauty...

One may feel sad after visiting the Rangamati Parjatan Holiday Complex to find how a great opportunity is nearly lost. The scenic beauty here with huge Kaptai Lake as the backdrop is beyond words. The park around the complex is also beautiful and attracts many day tourists. But for the accommodation, less said is better. Being in a tour group from Kolkata, India we were unlucky to get booking in the old block and not in the new block. The accommodation was an apology. Shabby rooms, broken door locks, malfunctioning air conditioners greeted us on our arrival. The rooms were so dirty that using any furniture was ruled out. Just managed to hit the bed. Didn't even bother to unpack. But all such grievances were literally thrown out of the window when we stepped into the balcony. The view was brilliant and chirping of birds, sounds of rustling leaves will take anyone to another world of peace and tranquillity. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast here as there was little option nearby. However, the lunch and dinner were reasonably good though options were limited. Breakfast was not upto the mark. It is indeed a pity that with similar natural beauty it could have been a star attraction for any tourist in Bangladesh. Rating this is tricky. For nature and location it is 5+. But for stay it is 1-. So going for the mean that is 3. You have...

It was an absolute great stay. The room was great, it had a balcony which gives a amazing wide open view of the kaptai lake, its adjacent to the famous jhulonto bridge and if you are staying in Parjatan Holiday Complex you only need to purchase ticket 1 time and you can use it as many time as you want. Although not sure who will try to visit that overhyped jhulonto brige more than once. The environment and the vibe of this hotel is absolutely amazing. It is spacious and wide open, air is flowing through it, theres a big lobby in front of the room which gives a wide open feel. Overall its very family/couple friendly. It might be the best hotel in Rangamati for its ambience, location and perks. Only downside i would mention is that if you want to roam around rangamati city then it wouldnt be a wise choice as its placed at the corner of the city. If you want to go anywhere near the city it will cost you 150bdt cng at least. Also apart from the hotel and the jhulonto bridge itselt, nothing is near or at walkable distant. You will not find any rickshaw or auto. So if the plan is to explore rangamati city and its culture it wouldnt something i would recommend. But if your plan is to have a relax trip with the family and to explore the kaptai boat day long trip, hands down its the best place to stay.

The place is designed for foreigners and it can v a destination in itself.. we had the luxury cottage which may sound expensive but the rate was rather average.. the rooms we lived in had several furniture for comfort.. the washroom was spacious and even had bathtub.. but what made it special was the view of the Kaptai Lake right off the cottage.. the cottages were designed in midst of garden of all local flowers and it's very aesthetic. The Kaptai Lake is in view at corners with some bash/Kath sitting arrangements and stairs to descend to those spots.. there are food arrangements right on the premises and the tourist destination: the hanging bridge of Rangamati and Kaptai Lake boat tour spot are in 5 minutes walking distance.. the location couldn't have been better and neither the facilities.. the main building has access to WiFi but the cottages didn't though, which may be the only drawback for living in the cottage.. The room comes with breakfast buffet and the dining hall is spacious, air-conditioned and comes with a view.. overall, very pleasant stay.

The Rangamati Parjatan Holiday Complex is a popular accommodation option for tourists visiting the scenic hill district of Rangamati in Bangladesh. Operated by the Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, this complex offers a comfortable stay with stunning views of Kaptai Lake and the surrounding hills. The complex is well-maintained, with clean rooms, cottages, and suites that cater to a range of budgets. The on-site restaurant serves a variety of local and continental dishes, and guests often enjoy dining with views of the lake. The complex also offers easy access to nearby attractions, such as the Hanging Bridge, tribal villages, and boat rides on Kaptai Lake. While the location and amenities are excellent, the complex could benefit from modernization and improved service efficiency. Nonetheless, the Rangamati Parjatan Holiday Complex remains a convenient and picturesque base for exploring the natural beauty of Rangamati.
