The worst-ever experience!!
I felt so disgusted to write this review. Even don’t wanna remember their name.
What do you expect from 2200-2500 taka worth hotel or resort? A comfortable bedding, good AC room, decent breakfast and overall professional behaviour from the staffs. But our experience was completely opposite. First things first, this so called resort is more like a hotel. Unlike other resorts it won't offer you various amenities. So we stayed their one night. The room was tiny. AC was not working properly. After 3 hours, the room was hot. We called the staffs. But they gave excuses after excuses. Staffs are very unprofessional. Don't know how to behave properly. The breakfast was also poor.
Final verdict, if you love or value your money, don’t waste them there.
Reply to your response: Couldn't find the option to reply your response. That's why giving my reply here. Good to know that you try to find the reasons. But the problem is you are still saying your ac was ok just took some time to make the room cool. Once again you gave me the excuse. Try to understand, we checked in at 5pm and our room became cool at 10pm. How on eath, your AC was okey? And when you deal with your customer, you should deal with proffesional manner. I am not saying your staffs misbehave with us or become angry in front of us. But most of time, we feel they try to ignore our requirements. Now let's talk about the breakfast. We stayed in Mira Garden previous day of yours. They gave us standard varities. Al of that within 1700 tk per day. So, we may expect more from you. And the final conclusion, we booked six rooms in your hotel. No one was satisfied. On that time, we realised that we lost our key. And go to gave you the compensation. But based on the service you gave us, a 500 taka compensation was more than high. Sorry for some heated up conversation. Finally I would like to suggest you, give your staffs some training. Know your limitations, act properly. you can turn on your ac 2 hours earlier than guests arrival. Thanks. Hope...
Read moreI'm Dr Fahim working in BMCH, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. I stayed in GSRT for 1 night 1st May with my wife and brother and his wife.
It's very new (around 6/8 months old, as I heard). Probably that's why the place is just a 6 floor building and basically nothing else. Although, they are expanding.
Hotel interior: 5/10 As I said, everything is new, shiny and polished and still under development. But, the hotel lobby is extremely small. Hotel staffs do not have any proper dress code. There is no elevators installed yet. Whenever it rains, swarms of tiny insects gather around the lights. Although, the staffs lack professionalism, but all of them are really friendly and helpful. The receptionist is good.
Rooms: 7/10 Rooms are quite basic but nice and clean as everything is just new. Toilets are clean and new. Since there are no buildings around, you can see really far from room. Compared to the price, rooms are really good. Hope they can keep up this cleanliness.
Food: There's no restaurants or food places around GSRT, so if you want to have lunch or dinner, you have to order at least 2 hours before. Closest decent restaurants are Panshi, Paach Bhai etc.
Breakfast: 3/10 The complimentary breakfast was quiet a disappointment. They served porota, egg and a bland watery daal.
Dinner: 7/10 Depends on which set menu you take. We took set menu 1 and they gave plenty of rice, daal and vegetable. And adequate amount of chicken. The taste was good and the staffs were really cordial.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Selim Resort in Sreemangal, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of the tea capital of Bangladesh, this resort offers a serene escape with stunning natural surroundings.
Location: The resort situated a bit far from the city, but surely it provides easy access to the lush tea gardens.
Accommodation: The rooms were average but clean. The beds were comfortable. I absolutely disliked the balcony, barely enough space for two people to stand side by side. But, the washroom was quite big, with a bathtub inside.
Service: The staff at Grand Selim Resort were incredibly friendly and attentive. From the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful recommendations for local attractions, they went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
Dining: Complementary breakfast was very average, with no options to choose from. At night we wanted to have a barbecue, but because the resort restaurant was so expensive, we decided to have dinner outside.
Facilities: There is a swimming pool in the resort. The pool area was average-maintained, but provided a chance to swim after many years.
This resort was booked by one of our friends, whose choice I don't particularly trust. So my expectations were quite low, I wasn't too disappointed. Moreover, there was a need for a place to sleep at night, which this resort fulfilled very well. The staff of the resort were very courteous! Good...
