Savannah Beach club was without a doubt one of the worst all inclusive resorts I have been to. To begin with, typically when we arrive prior to check in time, we are allowed to have lunch, among any other amenities. However, at Savannah we were not allowed to have any meals unless we purchase it due to check in time being 3pm. Which meant any food or drink would be considered a part of our all inclusive package only after 3pm, before that we would have to purchase. They did give us a complimentary room to wait in until 3pm and we were free to walk around the premises. Secondly, the rooms at Savannah are very nice, spacious felt extremely clean and comfortable. We booked the deluxe pool access rooms and got interconnecting rooms. The first night was a bbq at the beach which was really nice. I particularly enjoyed the night atmosphere at Savannah as the pools light up beautifully, so did the trees and they were flames and lights at the beach which was spectacular. They even made provisions for cricket lovers to watch the World Cup, which my dad particularly enjoyed. The beach at Savannah was unfortunately unable to be used due to the high levels of seaweed which came at no fault to the resort. The food on the other hand at Savannah in all honesty was quite repetitive and got a little tiring coming down to the end. However, I would recommend checking out Rachel’s for their La Carte menu as that was without a doubt my personal favourite. The cheesecake with the dome chocolate was to die for and I would definitely recommend. One of the things that caught me by surprise was the fact that the refrigerator in the room was completely empty as opposed to other All Inclusive where there were packed and stocked. In addition, we were given 4 bottles of water and after 2 days they were all finished. I then asked the housekeeper if I can get more water when she asked if I needed anything and she told me that if I wanted water I would have to go purchase it at the reception area. That caught me by surprise considering I was on an all inclusive package and it seemed odd to me that drinks such as alcohol and soft drinks were free but water wasn’t. However, with that being said one of the biggest highlights and assets to Savannah is their staff. As a former CAPE tourism student, I learned the importance of quality customer service and hospitality and considering I just completed that exam I was particularly looking forward to the hospitality aspect of this resort. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. Their staff is absolutely amazing in every sense of the word. I have yet to meet a staff member who was not kind to me or my family. You can tell they were trained to the highest level of hospitality and that in itself makes it worth visiting. With that being said, I would like to give a special thank you and shoutout to these employees who in someway helped to make I and my family’s stay even more better. Thank you to; Josiah- Pool Boy on 19:06:24 Sharifa- Waitress for dinner at Rachel’s on 19:06:24 Nadia - Hostess for dinner at Rachel’s on 19:06:24 Roger- Waiter for breakfast at Rachel’s on 20:06:24 Samantha - Waitress for lunch at Drifters on 20:06:24 There were so many more employees, I wished I had gotten their names To this end, I would say to try other hotels instead. Out of all of the all inclusive hotels I have been to, this is by far the worst.

The resort was nice - some parts of the room were a tad outdated but nothing drastic. The bed was HUGE and very comfortable. The room had a good AC which was very helpful during humid times of the day. The views are gorgeous and the beach was nice and walkable. The staff was pretty friendly, but occasionally they lacked situational awareness and seemed stressed during high traffic periods for meal times. For the most part, everyone was lovely and always willing to help whether it be with my luggage or calling me a taxi. A few major cons about my visit: 1) if you miss lunch due to excursions scheduled in the mornings, you’re gonna be STARVING until dinner. After lunch, they only have a small tea hour from 4-5 until the staff start preparing for dinner around 6/6:30. The tea hour is just tea, coffee, and tiny food that you would feed children. They did not have any bar snacks or small bites around the clock for those who missed meal times. Meal times are very restricted so plan accordingly. The breakfast was suitable and good quality. The buffet during dinner time is awful - the food is tasteless and very lacking. For the all inclusive price, the buffet meal options were very underwhelming. The drinks are very good though. I would recommend booking all of your dinner reservations for rachel’s or the asian kitchen when you arrive because they are both very yummy for dinner but can get booked up quickly. 2) There are no elevators, and the resort has A LOT of stairs so get ready to climb. If you have mobility issues, stay somewhere else. 3) The pool closes very early around 6:30pm which is really wild to me. For the price I paid, I would have loved to catch a night swim. 4) They are really stingy with washcloths. You will have to request them daily because when they clean the room they only leave body and face towels. No wash clothes. They have black writing on them so I assume it because they may turn up missing a lot. 5) They only give you two bottles of water in the room when you arrive, after that you’re on your own. Once the bar closes, there isn’t any way to get fresh water until everything opens up again. I called the front desk for water and they claimed no one was available to bring any. Again for the price I paid, bottles of water seem very basic. Other than that, everything else was peaceful. I loved how private and spacious the balcony was. I got some in reading and relaxation time which was nice. My experience was okay overall, but I would probably stay somewhere else next time.

We stayed here for 10 nights this past Christmas. Like many others have said the hotel needs some TLC in particular the bathroom. However, I have two fairly pressing complaints; 1 - goes to the housekeeping staff which others have mentioned. There is very little cleaning going on there besides the wet floor left afterwards. I had to request my bedsheets be changed on day 7 after they had allegedly cleaned the room. 2 - the afternoon tea was a disappointment too. Again, others have mentioned, and I experienced this twice. The hotel is either failing to estimate how much it’s guests will consume here or deliberately rationing. On one occasion I had been out and missed lunch so was excited for the afternoon tea. When I arrived and tried to serve myself I was told I could not, fair enough. There were a couple of sandwiches varieties, scone and a fruit cake. When the staff handed me two little sandwich cubes and a scone I signalled that I needed more. She then turned around and looked at the guests and mumbled that the food had to last. Unbelievable when I’d spent thousands on an all-inclusive and again as a seasoned traveller this was a new experience. Best features; 1 - breakfast! Not only there was so much to choose from there was a mixture of all the usual you’d find anywhere in the world plus local cuisine which was delightful. 2 - the staff especially at the bar/waiting staff. Staff were courteous and attentive in an authentic way. They also appeared happy to be working there and seemed to be having a great time mingling with the guests. 3 – picnic to another town, Christmas dinner and variety of special events. With some minor adjustments this place could tick all of the boxes

This is my first time to stay at Savannah Beach Resort & I couldn't be happier that my friends & I stayed here, great value for money in comparison to others. We were met with a great big smile from the receptionist... who offered us rum punch that went down a little to easy if you know what I mean 🥴.

What makes a great and unforgettable holiday I hear you ask ... well let me tell you a resort like this.. the staff make this hotel experience unforgettable...smaller then other resorts and they treated us like family. The resort is very clean, rooms are comfortable and was big enough for the 3 of us with air-con and a safe Pillows amazing and sleep quality was good.😴

Staff are exceptionally polite, fun and will go out their way to help... so I don't understand some negative reviews.Bar and domestic staff amazing as was Romon & security men who kept us all safe 24/7.

Pool was spotless everyday... can't complain about any meal that we had.. choice galore No ice cream... but they did have afternoon tea (cakes and sandwiches). Not a huge selection but extremely tasty, Those reviews that mentioned no English food.... come on your here to embrace their culture otherwise stay home. great entertainment especially Monday is a must. Only downside is there are not enough table & chairs on the deck especially for entertainment in the evenings. Could do with extending some entertainment to finish later and having light music after. When the hotel is full seating is an issue that could easily be resolved and I hope management take this on board. I'll say it again More chairs and tables needed 🙏🏽.... probably where the grass section is.... holiday is only good depending on guests that are there at the same time who bring on their A game on holiday with them... and that take part in activities such as limbo, dancing, singing, games etc Karaoke sounded fun... some killed their songs literally but so much fun. Lunch time games with Romon was excellent... He visited every guest in the hotel asking for feedback . excellent management material, and even helped us with an issue we had with towels. I would say beach is very clean, enough shade but you cannot swim in it due to the rocks so bring your beach shoes if you want to go in.... A real shame... The lazy pool is the only pool so some may say not suitable for kids... not much seating / sun beds near ir around pool.... swim up bar... Thankyou to the guests who were here between 13th & 23rd January 2025... you were all amazing and made my holiday an absolute dream... just wish I took your numbers... shout out to those who were from Manchester, Bournemouth and our favourite Newcastle lads. from us London girls. Oistins is a must on a Friday.... just be sensible.... horse racing across the road 5 mins walk another must and fun.... I'll be visiting again. My advice is definitely go all inclusive otherwise your bar bill will be out of control even if you don't drink alcohol ...food is expensive if you don't. No hotel is 100% but this is very close for my needs. The hotel doesn't provide you with bottles of water, but there is a shop opposite the road but we were drinking tap water and was just fine. Clothes Shop within resort was nice. Had essentials and nice home made items such as fans. Kids club available. Loved that the resort was casual/ smart casual.... its hot so this helped. We had a pool side room... cannot recommend this enough. Was handy for us girls. I would say this resort was for over 40's.. not really that suitable for those struggling to walk. There are 2 small lift however it's at one end and the beach at the other with stairs and narrow walkways to get to. Something to consider. Highly recommend if you don't mind it being away from the gap. We took the reggae reggae bus... what an experience and not expensive. Sun sets are beautiful.. can't say we were up in time to watch a sunrise from the beach or watch the horses have a bath on the beach....something for our next visit.

No gym so be aware if that's your thing. ...

I chose the Savannah Beach Club hotel for my first visit to Barbados as a solo traveller. I booked the all-inclusive package for a 7-night stay and it was an excellent choice!||I was warmly welcomed by the staff as well as Savannah the lovely resort cat. ||The location of the resort is perfect: located on a UNESCO World Heritage site with easy access to the historic Garrison area and to Bridgetown. I was able to explore the local area easily and safely. I booked an excursion through St.James Travel & Tours. A lovely agent, Antoinette, arrived at the hotel lobby to arrange my booking. It was so simple and easy to book and the 80 mile island tour was really good. ||The beach was easily accessible and I enjoyed reading my book peacefully and would pop over to the beachfront bar for an ice-cold drink. ||The beautiful tropical landscaping around the resort creates a relaxing and tranquil environment as does the meandering river swimming pool. The atmosphere was quiet and friendly; the staff and guests warmly greeted each other around the resort.||I stayed in the Deluxe King Courtyard Garden View room. The size and cleanliness of the room was impressive. The bed was comfortable. I had a lovely patio, with chairs and a table, looking onto the garden where I would sit and relax. ||The dining was excellent: Caribbean and Asian fusion options. I enjoyed the wide variety of dishes and tempting desserts on offer each mealtime at the restaurants. The salad bar, mixed vegetable medley and the marlin fish were my favourites. The Chopstix dining experience night also offered delicious food. ||The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of foods: cereal, cakes/croissants, yogurts, fruits, and hot food such as scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon and pancakes. ||The hotel provided entertainment including: a singing duo at the beachfront bar one evening, a saxophone player/singer one lunchtime, and two DJs on two separate evenings, all of whom were great. ||I would like to thank all the staff at the Savannah Beach Club Hotel for making my first visit to Barbados so enjoyable. Although I was a solo guest, I felt quite comfortable and the staff were very attentive and friendly.||Apologies to any members of staff who do not get a mention as I did not get all of their names. ||Thank you to: Ramon (activities coordinator) who lead the aqua aerobics class was friendly and professional. He also recommended that I witness the daily ritual of the racehorses swimming in the ocean at sunrise on Pebbles Beach, a short walk from the hotel. This was an amazing experience that completed my holiday; Nadia (waitress) was lovely, the waitress with a ponytail was friendly, attentive and entertaining whilst dancing and singing to the music; Alicia (waitress) was very attentive making sure I had enough water and described herself as "the crazy one" with her outgoing and bubbly personality. She got everyone at the beachfront bar up on the dancefloor to dance the Calypso which made my last night at the resort memorable; Richard (barman) friendly and efficient; Roger (waiter) attentive and professional; the young waiter at Rachel's on Saturday night was polite and attentive topping up my water; Ariannah: lovely and helpful; The Executive Chef: friendly, professional, attentive and informative; General Catering Manager was friendly; General Hotel Manager was very professional and informative; Restaurant hostess: very professional and courteous; The gardeners and beach towel staff were also friendly and helpful; let's not forget the cleaners! The ladies on the front desk were lovely and welcoming, efficient, informative and helpful - nothing was too much trouble! ||Thank you Savannah Beach Club Hotel. The overall experience was good value for money and I would definitely recommend...
