We stayed at Château de Blier for a long friends’ weekend with a group of 22 people, and it was an unforgettable experience. The château itself is absolutely stunning, set in a peaceful remote location surrounded by nature. It’s the perfect getaway if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle.

Inside, the place is huge. There’s more than enough space for large groups, and everything felt clean and beautifully preserved. The bedrooms were large and comfortable.

One of the highlights of our weekend was having a private chef, which we highly recommend in combination with the château. It really elevated the experience and made everything feel extra special.

A huge thank you to Gianpiero, the owner, who was fantastic from start to finish. He’s a super friendly, flexible guy who genuinely wants you to enjoy your stay. He doesn’t mind a bit of noise, which is a relief when you’re with a big group.

We just hosted a larp at this castle and can’t recommend it enough. The current landlord has been running the place for about two years, and the improvement in care and management is remarkable. He’s incredibly attentive and supportive. He’s also genuinely passionate not just about renting out the property, but also about restoring its old-world charm and preserving its authentic flair.

The improvements are evident throughout: new mattresses, lovingly renovated showers that maintain the historical style, an industrial dishwasher, and large washing machines and dryers that make hosting an event here much easier.

It’s rare to find a venue where the setting and management both make you feel so welcome and taken care of. This castle is a true gem for anyone looking to host a special event — guests will have an amazing time and see their vision come to life here.

We got married at Chateau the Blier last weekend. An unforgettable experience at this beautiful and unique location. The new owners went to great lengths to recover the original style and character of this castle (and succeeded). We rented the entire castle and got total freedom from the owners to arrange the wedding weekend in our own way. On top of that they helped us out when needed to make our wedding a success.
