Hotel La Cascada — Hotel in Bredene

We spent a weekend here in September 2009. Arrived in the late afternoon and where welcomed by the friendly female owner. The rooms were cozy, well cleaned and we had a huge bathroom. We booked the one room they have with a bath and balcony and we were sooo happy we did!||The bathtub was HUGE, we could fit in with the two of us easily. Bathroom itself was bigger then the one at home!||Beds were comfortable, there's a fridge in the closet. TV was a bit little but we weren't there to watch that anyway.||||Breakfast was nice. Cozy breakfast room, with lots of romantic accents. The lady of the house comes to your table and fills your cup with coffee, hot chocolate and tea. The rest of the breakfast you can just go get yourself. There are croissants and chocolate rolls on the tables. Only cold breakfast and eggs you can boil yourself, but there was plenty of choice and everything tasted nice and fresh. The owners have an adorable dog, he's not aloud in the hotel spaces but being animal friends they didn't mind if we said good morning to the little one in the hallway. They really are very friendly people, always ready with advice and tips about Bredene and surroundings and they did anything possible to make it a pleasant weekend. They asked frequently if everything was as we wished it and if we needed something.||||Location is okay. It's very calm, yet just a short walk away from the beach and the centre of Bredene. Bredene itself is just a little town, not much to see but the beach and a few restaurants. Yet Oostende and Blankenberge are a stonethrow away and offer plenty of entertainment.||||I'd rate this more as a B&B tough, but it was a very pleasant stay and we will definitely...

Het eerste kontakt via de telefoon was al dadelijk een pluspunt,aangezien ik vanuit Duitsland via de vaste lijn belde ergens in de namiddag,niet wetende dat de telefonische reservaties voor 11hr00 en na 19hr00 te verrichten zijn,belde de gastvrouw Elisabeth ons zelf op in Duitsland en al vlug was de reservatie geklaard.De eerste indrukken waren zeer positief,mooi gelegen hotel in een rustige villa-wijk,eenvoudige sleutelafhaling met code via een kluis,zeer uitnodigende inkomhal met fraai interieur met smaak ingericht,een mooie 2-persoonskamer met groot bed,groot balkon,verzorgd sanitair met douche en kabel-tv met internationale zenders,kortom zeer gezellig en we voelden ons dadelijk zeer welkom en op ons gemak.Het ontbijt was meer dan voldoende en indien gewenst kon je altijd bijvragen.Zoals reeds gezegd is de ligging van het hotel rustig op 400m van de kustweg alsook de halte van de kusttramlijn en via een tunnel bereik je na enkele honderd meter veilig het strand.Onze gastvrouw Elisabeth was zeer charmant en uitermate vriendelijk,altijd klaar met raad en daad. Zonder enige twijfel kan ik het hotel aanbevelen en bij ons volgend bezoek aan de Belgische kust is "La Cascada" ons eerste adres.Nogmaals zeer bedankt Elisabeth voor het sympathiek en welwillend onthaal,het behaaglijk verblijf en de lieftallige zorgen.Tot weerziens... We had a compact room with a small bathroom . All very clean and had everything we needed . Bed was very comfy and the shower was fine . We only stopped for one night so not to bothered about space.
