Stayed here 2 nights for work. This place reminded me of what we would call a bed and breakfast in the US. It seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. The hotel and rooms were nice and clean. Bring your own shampoo/soap though (wish I knew that!) and also there is no elevator. Breakfast was good but basic, just a croissant and orange juice/coffee. We ate dinner here the one night which was really good even though some of the food was very different than what we would eat in the US I at least tried each course that was brought out. It is a very reasonable price for those staying in the hotel considering the dishes were done so well. The young girl and young man working there didn't speak English and we didn't speak French but they were very nice trying to figure out what we were saying and the translator app on my...
Read moreIt's a very rural hotel with some foibles - breakfast between 9.00am & 10.00am - check in (normally) between 5.30pm & 6.30pm and we arrived at 3.00pm. However, we were immediately given keys to the room & the front door and our dog was made very welcome - throughout the hotel. We were in room 5 on the 1st floor - a small double with a small en-suite shower room. They were fully booked so we didn't have a choice and some of the rooms have a large patio type window - we'll know the next time. We ate in the restaurant and everything was perfectly cooked and served with good grace and a smile. The location is very rural and ideal for a bit of luxury with a good...
Read morePicked this hotel because it is very close to the motorway - a bit off the beaten track and down some narrow and very potholed lanes but very close to the motorway as you can hear a buzz in the distance. May well revisit as it is about 2 hours from Calais and a good breaking point if one is travelling on to Germany/Austria or in our case returning.||||Nice room and shower room - lots of parking and on village square. Breakfast as remarked elsewhere is pretty miserable - if included in price fine but would not pay extra for it - but although in Belgium it was a typical French breakfast so one cannot criticise because it is the standard.||||Dinner was...
