I've read through the other reviews & would just like to add some (alright...a lot) of personal insight. If you're considering staying here I would highly recommend it if you understand a couple of things first.
First, the best way to get around is by rental car, or if you're just going to be walking or being picked up by taxi, or even a scooter bike). Public transportation is available, but not as easy as a rental car.
PROs: It is quiet. Rest assured, you will get a wonderful night's sleep in a comfy bed, blackout curtains for those long summer days (Im not kidding, the sun sets around 9³⁰ pm in June) and wonderful down pillows with a wonderful duvet.
Right across the street is a field that has beautiful rows of wheat and a nice sunset. Besides that, the buildings surrounding are corporate and not a ton of traffic around. There's a bus stop just down the street, and if you're familiar with how to get around using the bus system, it can be easy. There is downstairs parking that's secure with about +-27 spaces. People are usually out for business during the day, so the spaces can fill up in the evening.
The staff are quite wonderful and attentive. We are currently staying for approximately a month in this room, and we are working to make ourselves at home. We selected the "Service once a week" and do not have any issues being self-sufficient.
There is air conditioning that works wonderfully, all the way down to 19°C (around 67°F) so plenty cool enough for most anyone.
There is a nice breakfast in the morning that's very enjoyable breakfast included that we attend every morning. There's scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, hash brown potato rounds (think of McDonalds, but less fatty), bacon, toast, and a great coffee machine and tea assortment. There's also yogurts, nuts, milk, and a couple of cereal choices. If you're adventurous there's a more European selection of sliced meats and cheeses with fresh bread loaves you can slice yourself, sausages, all kinds of condiments like Nutella, honey, jams, cream cheese, pickles, capers. There's also fresh juices and water, usually with lemon or fresh mint.
The bathroom mirror is a cool electronic light you touch to adjust, so that's really cool. There's an induction cooktop with a couple of pots & pans if you want to make something. Also, a Nespresso machine in the room along with a hot water kettle. My husband likes a good Americano, so we picked up some extra Nespresso capsules. The fridge had a small freezer. I put bottles of water in there, and they had no problem freezing (ice is an exception here, but if you needed to keep something frozen, you have the option). There's a nice bar downstairs, and they have dinner and sometimes social events, and everyone is fairly friendly and social.
We have a 2 year old, so they also provided a crib, I did bring my own playpen size fitted sheet & it worked perfectly. We got a 1 bedroom suite and I'm able to move her crib into our bedroom & close the curtains so she can nap in our room. There's also a small dishwasher & microwave as well. The laundry room downstairs is quite nice. There's Miele Pro washers & and dryers. I picked up my own bag of laundry pods from the local Carrefour, and it worked perfectly. If you need something pressed, there's an ironing board & iron as well.
CONs: there is construction going on so a part of the sidewalk is out in the meantime at the temporary light until it's fixed, but even still my husband said it was an easy crossing to the other side of the road to walk towards the west. That's about it. If you need to be closer to a metro, this may be a harder place to stay with no rental car. So if recommend some place near the metro.
As far as the other comments, we haven't had any issues. We understood we were somewhere a little more quiet, and that's what we wanted (we don't even hear the planes in our room). The management is always present and helpful with any questions.
I'll add some more pics too,...
Read moreWe recently stayed at the Residence Inn Brussels during our first 30 days in the country for our international PCS, and our experience was exceptional. The level of service provided by the staff was outstanding, with everyone going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The team, especially Courtney, who was our main contact even before our arrival, made our transition to our new home smooth and enjoyable. Georgia was also incredibly kind and helpful, frequently checking in on us and offering valuable support and suggestions. Tássia the hotel manager also went out of her way to have conversations with us and showed her caring and professionalism when she sat down and asked thoughtful questions about how best the hotel can support people in all aspects as they arrive and have extended stays in the hotel.
What stood out the most was the attention and care given to our young children. The staff surprised them several times with their favorite breakfast muffins as after day camp snacks, which delighted them and added a special touch to our stay. This thoughtful gesture exemplifies the kindness and caring nature of the team.
The location of the hotel is ideal, especially for those working with NATO as it is in close proximity. It is also not far from USAG. Additionally, there are great nature walks nearby, perfect for family outings and relaxation. We also appreciated the convenience of having a kitchen in the unit and a Carrefour Express (mini grocery store) in walking distance for everything from diapers to dinner. The hotel is also in walking distance to the metro which has been wonderful for our weekend city explorations.
When we were too exhausted to go out or cook, the hotel lounge and bar offered delicious meals, providing a comfortable and convenient dining option.
We experianced exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a location that catered perfectly to our needs. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a friendly, caring, and convenient place to stay near NATO and USAG...

The toiletries in the bathroom ran out multiple times during our short stay so clearly aren't being checked by housekeeping. Even once we reported one running out, they didn't check the others meaning we've had multiple cases of no product halfway through a shower- embarrassing.
No slippers or bath robes either.
The rooms are clean enough and nicely decorated.
Breakfast is ok, no major excitement there.
There is a coffee machine that's free to be used 24/7 downstairs which is nice.
Parking is secure, but with very low ceiling which scratched my boot cover every time I opened it, however gentle I tried being.
There's also plenty of room outside to park for free (though not sure how secure that would be, especially with foreign plates).
We booked a room with a dog and were told we'd get bowls sorted but on arrival the staff seemed shocked by the idea. After a lot of awkward conversation, someone finally showed up with a single old bowl. I ended up using the casserole dish that was in the room's kitchenette as a dog water bowl.
Aircon was nice and not directly blowing over the bed and the windows opened reasonably so we got plenty of fresh air.
It is just outside the clean air zone for Brussels but metres out so be careful when circling around. You can check if you're due to pay and register your car if you plan on entering the clean air zone. Even if your car is compliant, but isn't local, you have to register it. You'll need your registration...
