My husband and I just returned from out trip to Belize. We stayed at the Jungle Dome with the 4 night Mayan Adventure package and could not have been more pleased with the whole experience! The hosts, Simone and Andy, and the others who worked there were wonderful. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We had dinner there every night, and the food was delicious. The place is very quiet and relaxing, with a great pool and places to hang out by the river. Though, we did hear the Howler Monkeys for a while when were swimming in the pool. There is a family of monkeys that live in the trees by the river, and you can sometimes see them in the trees. It was great to stay in the jungle and away from a lot of people, plus it's located next to a horse ranch, which I loved. The room was big and comfortable. We had a pool side room on the second floor with a deck overlooking the pool. ||||The tours we took were fantastic! David, our tour guide for the week, was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and had a great respect for nature and education. We couldn't have asked for a better guide around the jungles of Belize. Our tours included Xunantunich Mayan ruins, the Igauna Sanctuary, cave tubing, horseback riding, ATM, a jungle river boat ride, and the Belize Zoo. I learned so much about the plant life and the animals from David. I wish I had a tour guide like him on all our trips. ||||Truly, staying here, is like visiting the friends in Belize that you didn't...
Read moreThe week we spent at Belize Jungle Dome was one of the most memorable, fun and interesting trips I have ever taken. The staff at Jungle Dome were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We lucked out and got to hang out with the owner, Caddy, who was so hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed, and provided things that I didn’t think to pack, (like a long sleeved water shirt for cave tubing). The food was delicious, freshly made for us every day - and I’m still thinking about the fry jacks!! Having David, a certified tour guide on staff was also amazing! He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much on every excursion. We were a party of 5, and both Caddy and David made suggestions and gave advice on which excursions were best for our interests. We saw Mayan Ruins, did horseback riding, kayaking, spent an afternoon in Guatemala, but my fave was the cave tubing - which was just an exceptional experience! But my favorite part of each day was waking up at the Jungle Dome, and returning after a day of adventure - to just walk the beautifully manicured grounds, lay in the pool that overlooks a gorgeous Guanacaste tree and the river, listen for howler monkeys and scout for Toucans! It’s truly a paradise with the most chill vibes. You will not want to leave - and you’ll definitely...
Read moreHaving set up our own trip we needed some words of wisdom from Andy and Simone. They steered usbin the right direction setting up some amazing tours for our group of 8. They had worked out all the transportation issues, had breakfast waiting prior to the two different groups departure. Take the worry out of your travel and opt for the meal service. Great food served either family style for breakfast or plated for dinners. They treated us at the gate of their house, helped with the luggage and got us squared away. Their staff is amazing, David provides a wealth of information and everyone willing to go the extra mile. One of the members of our group broke their shoulder and Andy met us at the hospital and waited so the rest of our group could head back for dinner. The next day offering to drive her back into Belompan. Our stay was the highlight of our trip and the tours and personal guides were icing on the cake. If you have the opportunity to stay at the dome, so so. Our only regret was not staying long enough. The grounds are amazing and the accommodations spot on...
