I arrived at the lodge for a stay on August 22-24,2025 as a very avid local traveler, optimistic for another stay at a new place.| |Arrival;||They honestly blew my expectations out of the water! From arriving we were greeted kindly by forestry check-point officers and also the resort’s friendly security team! The front desk wonderfully prepared cold towels and an awesome welcome drink and made the check-in process a breeze informing us of everything we needed to know. The general manager even personally came down and greeted us which is such a great touch that I’ve never seen before!||Accommodations;||The room was AMAZING, an old rustic charm that was cleaned pristinely (as I can be a neat freak) and the housekeeping staff were friendly and on point each and every time with amenities and attending to any queries we had. (The rooms has literally ALL the information on the resort that you’ll ever need!)||Activities;||The resort had about 4 complimentary activities (if I remember correctly) that were actually beautifully executed and had other activities that you can inquire about. ||Service;||I’ve been to many notable properties with impeccable customer service, but by far Blancaneaux has left me lost for words. Everyone from the bell boys, to servers, to housekeepers, to front desk, to even security are keen, noting details and friendly! They seem to even be communicating respectively to maximize customer service; They remember our names, make conversations to figure out our plans to assist the respective departments and everyone is so friendly! (I work in the service industry, so I’m speaking from a business standpoint) ||Food; |The food was point blank, amazing! Waiters were keen, attentive and never even let my water goblet go empty without already promptly refilling; The resort is ran like a well oiled machine! I will definitely be returning to stay again! Thank you Blancaneaux Team for the...

I could honestly write a short story about all the things that make Blancaneaux such an amazing and unique place, but I'll spare you the 30,000 words and just say that if you're reading this review because you're going to be in Belize and are considering staying at the Blancaneaux you should just stop here, book it now, and enjoy the fruits of your wise decision. This is a one-of-a-kind experience that would almost be a crime for someone to skip over, and this is coming from a couple that is relatively well-traveled with some pretty awesome experiences under our collective belt. This one at the Blancaneaux was special, however.||The blend of secluded tropical rainforest with immaculately-clean resort space is difficult to describe and really something that has to be seen in person to be appreciated. Kinda mind-blowing how they've managed to combine the two so perfectly, like it didn't feel weird or unnatural or "why is there a luxury resort in the middle of the jungle" kinda thing. It's like the lodge was just always there, in the jungle, at one with the wild nature it's enveloped in. Rugged and adventurous, yet somehow clean and luxurious at the same time.||There were no individual highlights of our stay here..because literally everything was a highlight. All of it, from start to finish. Our riverfront cabana, every meal we had, every interaction with every single staff member, every guided tour or activity, even the driver who shuttled us back to the airport - all exceptional, polished, and unique. Blancaneaux has clearly spent a wild (pun intended) amount of time refining every aspect of this unique experience, and we are so, so grateful we had the opportunity to enjoy it. ||Pro tip: while we did see one or two small families here this place really shines as a couples experience, the naturally-romantic vibes here...

Blown away! Blancaneaux Lodge is absolutely beautiful! The grounds, the flora and fauna, the serenity, and the activities are all fantastic! We did sunrise bird watching, horseback riding, multiple walks around the grounds, and a trio to Caracol, which were all spectacular, especially Caracol! Every activity guide was better than the last and so incredibly knowledgeable. The staff were all so warm attentive and friendly. You can tell they are genuinely excited to help you at the front desk, serve you food and drinks, share their knowledge of the country, the landscape, and animals. Take every opportunity you have to experience the activities at the Lodge! |We ate at the Guatemalan restaurant one night, the Garden Restaurant (vegetarian) one night (which was such a fantastic experience complete with a garden tour), and the main restaurant the rest of our 5 day stay. A staff member told us that 70% of the food at the Lodge is grown on the grounds and all of the food at the Garden restaurant is grown in the garden! Such a treat! I thought for a second that maybe we'd be bored with the restaurants because there was literally nothing else around (we are accostomed to venturing around and going off resort on vacations), but no way! The food was excellent and never fell short!|I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Lodge. Our room was enormous and so incredibly relaxing and beautiful inside and outside. |The landscape and surrounding area were like nothing I have experienced before and I learned so much about the ecosystem, history of Belize and the Mayan civilization. Staying here uplifted my spirit and mind! I wholeheartedly would recommend this place to friends, couples...

When planning a trip to Belize, we weren’t sure if it was “worth” the travel time - I couldn’t have been more wrong! Our only regret was not staying longer! The level of service is unparalleled! Every detail was impeccable! In the second bedroom, they had 3 beds and 3 yoga mats for our girls! Everyone knows you by name, your preferences, and your schedule - ready to assist with a smile every step of the way! The food was unbelievable - fresh, beautiful and always delicious! They offered a wide variety for picky eater, kids and foodies alike!fresh creative cocktails are readily available throughout the property and delivered with a smile! The resort is breathtaking! The tranquil sound of water flows throughout the resort and just outside your bedroom window! Without a doubt, it was the highest level of turn down service (with the most incredible treats) we have experienced. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and decorated with all the comforts of home. The two pools are both beautiful, but I highly recommend the heated horseshoe shaped pool in the evening to stargaze. Beautiful gardens are adorned with birds and lizards. The concierges are attentive and accommodating ensuring every detail exceeds your expectations, eliminating any ounce of stress you may have. There are so many memorable activities available to you at the resort and incredible experiences beyond. This is a can’t miss (can’t wait to go again) vacation destination!

Almost at the end of everything.... The Lodge is stunningly located close to the Privassion Creek, where you have some spots to swim in. Great refreshing Water 💦! The Cabanas have different Sizes, depending what you have booked. Ours was very comfy, fridge, hairdryer, yoga mats! And a beautiful terrace with a hammock. At teardown service, they put you a hot water bag in the bed, very in your bed! Lovely! Two Yoga mats provided in the room! Continental breakfast is included, but you have the choice of other breakfast dishes, like pancake, omelette and so on. Dinner is really good, and every second night you can dine either at Guatemalan or a vegetarian Restaurant. Good choice of drinks and Wine, of course lot of Coppolas winery. Service is very friendly, and always good for a little talk. But no cushions on the wooden chairs!!?? We did the walk to the Big Rock Fall, which took about 50 min one way. Also do the tour to the Barton Creek Caves, very stunning. The other day drove with the bikes to Gaia Lodge, 20 min down hill, about 35 min back. Had lunch there ( do reservations) and a swim at their 5 Sisters Falls. Very nice location. The only thing which might bother someone is, if your neighbours think they are allone. We luckily had a family with 3 Kids only one night. It sounds, as if they are one floor above, when the kids run on the floor.

Staying at Blancaneaux Lodge in Belize was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Created by the mastermind behind The Godfather movies, the resort feels like an extension of his creative genius—thoughtful, detailed, and absolutely stunning. The setting is magical—tucked away in a hidden valley surrounded by pine forests. It feels completely secluded and peaceful. The resort itself is beautifully designed, with colonial-style furniture and décor that makes every corner feel special. The attention to detail is incredible, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. We treated ourselves to a massage, which was super relaxing, and the rooms were spotless. Everything, from the natural wood furniture to the tiled showers and even the wooden shower gel bottles, felt carefully thought out and unique. If you go, don’t miss the waterfall! Whether you hike or take a horse-drawn carriage, it’s 100% worth it. It felt almost spiritual being out there surrounded by nature. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’m already looking forward to coming back one day!
