TLDR: A literal paradise with great food, service that makes you feel like royalty, wonderful snorkeling, and long, exciting excursions. Cost is high per night but a wonderful value when compared to the experience you get for that price. Summary: My husband and I traveled here for our honeymoon. It was absolutely amazing, like the most wonderful dream - like something out of a movie. I am almost hesitant to write such a good review because I want, selfishly, to keep it a secret, but, in hopes that others will find the same joy we did, I am submitting this honest review. I will add more pictures in the coming weeks. It was not crowded, the food was delicious, and the chef catered to my specific dietary restrictions without me needing to ever remind her. Everyone on the island knew our names. Everything was taken care of for us completely. I forgot what day it was and just enjoyed the ocean, the food, and the calm. THE VIBE: The island matches your vibe. You want peace and relaxation? Massages, seaside yoga, and hammack time on the patio. You want fun? Bottomless drinks, upbeat music, and karaoke at the bar. Looking for adventure? Hiking a Mayan temple, ziplining with monkeys throught the rainforest, or snorkeling with rays and sharks. The only vibe you won't find here is high-tech and busy. Even my gamer husband put aside the electronics for the week. THE FOOD: The food was always delicious and fresh and healthy (and, of course, all included)!! This is how food is meant to be!! Chef Jude and her team cooked us 3 wonderful meals a day. Every day we would choose what we wanted from several available options, most of which changed daily. The chef always made sure there was something good for me to eat, even though I am very sensitive to lactose (dairy). If we were hungry between meals, there was always some delicious snacks we could order from the bar (also all included) such as empanadas or wings. THE DRINKS: The drinks were always strong and delicious. They had drinks waiting for us as soon as we got off the boat and evrytime we returned from excursions. Most drinks we could think of are included, with the exception of certain imported liquors. They will make sure you know if you try to order something that is off the menu. No surprise costs from them. THE SERVICE: The BEST service I have ever received. Period. We were treated so well. As stated previously, everyone knew our names. When I hurt my knee by overexerting it (nothing serious, I just had ACL reconstruction surgery 5 months prior and overused it that day), Alan drove me back and forth from my cabana, Bella provided an ace bandage, and Shauna arranged to have dinner delivered to our cabana so I could rest it. There was an army of people waiting on us everyday - hauling my overpacked luggage, cleaning our room and opening our windows each morning, cooking for and waiting on us at each meal, arranging and facilitating our activities, to providing daily turbdown service, making and bringing us drinks, and generally going above and beyond. These people included Mrs. Jude, our Chef; Alex and Bella, our activity managers; Jose, our tour guide; Shauna, Brionna, Evelyn, and Greg, who waited on us; Captain Greg, Lyndon, and Irvin, our boat masters and snorkeling guides; Sean, who captained our sunset cruise; Carlos who served us our romantic dinner and kept drinks in our hands; Jesse and , our energetic bartenders; Alan, our beach master and driver; and last but not least, our wonderful housekeepers who we didn't get to see much. Due to recent storms and rising waters, the majority of the island is surrounded by a sea wall (only a foot or two high from the beach so it does NOT obstruct the gorgeous views). It made the snorkeling just off the wall excellent. Within 20 feet of the wall are eagle rays, sting rays, giant (6") starfish, pufferfish, conch shells, and a ton of of small and medium fish.

Just left from coco plum this morning and let me just say WOW 🤩 honestly it was the best vacation I have ever been on. The staff are so thoughtful and it is as if every detail was thought of before we got there. I am a vegetarian and Chef Jude fed me so well this week! Every meal we had was delicious and made with love. Sometimes it is hard traveling being a vegetarian but this week I felt nourished and satiated!! We had an amazing couples massage and it was one of the best we ever had. While we were here my fiancé had some allergies and the staff made arrangements to send someone to a drug store on the main land to get him some Claritin and we had the meds within a couple of hours! The bartenders are awesome - Swervin’ Erwin and Jess know how to make a drink!!! We loved our server Evelyn and she was always so warm and made sure we had everything we needed. We went snorkeling and the guides were amazing, I had a problem with my goggles in the water because it slipped off my head (my fault for not adjusting it before I put it on and jumped in the water) and Lindon helped me get it adjusted again so I could enjoy the snorkeling trip. We saw a huge sea turtle that swam right up to our group as well as sting rays, beautiful coral, and a myriad of other sea creatures. One day at the island we saw a manatee out in the water and I used one of the paddleboards to paddle out to it - one of the coolest things ever! We didn’t do any of the excursions but other guests raved about the zip lining and caves! We made friends with other guests on the island and got to know the staff too which was amazing. I think the island being so small allows for those connections to form and I loved it. WiFi was spotty but worked well up by the bar and gift shop - we didn’t need it though. My recommendation is to bring some books and get ready to relax! So many places to choose from to sit and just chill. Our suite was also super clean and well air conditioned. Housekeeping was top notch! I would come back here in a heartbeat and can’t wait for our next trip to coco plum 🥰

Words can't describe the beauty, and pictures don't do it justice! Air conditioned private cabanas with all the amenities of a hotel (except the TV, but why would you want one?), all spaced a discreet distance apart so you can be alone if you want, maid service every day, bottled water cooler in every cabana (ours had a kitchenette), and even the ice in the drinks is made from bottled water. AMAZING food, which you can enjoy inside a dining room, or outside on the deck. (If you miss a meal for some reason, they will bring it to you in your cabana!) There is wifi in some areas, a private, secluded beach you can go to be completely alone if you wish, open air bar with all you can drink of the local beer & liquor. No mosquitoes out there somehow! There are excursions (some included in most of the packages), fishing packages, erc but you can also stay on the island and do nothing all day and night for your entire stay. There are only 14 or so other cabanas so you can either isolate yourself for a quiet, private get away, or join everyone at the beach or bar and make lifelong friends of people from all over the world! If you happen to want a perfect "destination wedding," they will provide flowers, a cake.. and even the guests if you'd like! But the best thing about Coco Plum Island Resort is the staff!! They not only remember your name, but your food sensitivities, why you are there (honeymoon, anniversary etc) and your favorite cocktail. They will run to the mainland to get anything you may have forgotten if they don't already have it there. After you've been there, no other resort staff will be able to hold a candle to their attentiveness, kindness and personalized service. If you are considering an all inclusive vacation, put this gorgeous place at the top of your list (it's the ONLY place on our list from now on..)! I could go on and on (and have, it seems).. but you won't "get it" until you go.. and you really MUST go!

I could not have dreamed of a better experience! My husband and I chose Coco Plum for our 10 year anniversary. We wanted something relaxed, beautiful, secluded, and worry-free which is exactly what Coco Plum provided!

Not only did our trip cover drinks, food, water sports, excursions (Mayan Ruins, cave tubing, snorkeling, and ziplining), a private casita, and transportation to and from the island, but they also scheduled our hopper plane to and from Belize to Dangriga, snacks on the excursions.

Upon arrival to the island and every time arriving back from the all day excursions, the staff had drinks waiting for us! For each meal, you are provided with several options to choose from. Don't like any of those? Just ask, these guys go above and beyond to accommodate your tastes and dietary needs. I'm lactose intolerant and each meal and drink was customized to meet my needs. They also called ahead for the excursions to ensure the lunches provided also had a dairy-free option. You will never leave a meal hungry! If you need/want more food, just ask.

One of the best times to meet the other guests is during happy hour from 4 - 6pm. During this time, drinks not included in the all-inclusive package are half off, but the best part is the bar snacks! They are so delicious! If you don't see a drink on the menu, ask the bartenders to make you one based on your preferences. It's so fun to experiment! We had Rob and Jess help out during our stay and both guys are so much fun to talk to!

Couple of things to note: Bring motion sickness medication (e.g. Dramamine) if you find yourself getting a queasy tummy during boat rides or snorkeling as sometimes the waves are quite large Bring bug spray and sun block! You will get burned so quick because of how close the location is to the equator Bring water shoes that you can also hike in Drink the purified water provided to you. They also give you reusable water containers as a gift to you! Pack quick drying clothes Pack multiple bathing suits! Pack a rain jacket if you're going on excursions You will be walking on the beach to and from your casita, so sand will get inside your room. You can either leave your shoes outside or they provide a broom if the sand bugs you before the daily housekeeping

Each of the excursions includes transportation, a guide, a drive, lunch, snack, and water. They are not to be missed! We were lucky to have Simon, Curly, and Bruno from Belizean Dreams to guide us around Belize! If time permits, they will try to make stops to show you more of Belize. This could be for souvenirs, tamales, or ice cream. The lunch provided is amazing! If you go cave tubing and ziplining, you will have an opportunity to change your clothes to swimwear. Cave Tubing - you will have to carry your own tube, life vest, and helmet for a 30 minute walk

During our snorkeling trips, the captains will take you to a reef to swim through the Belizean aquarium. It's amazing! If you have questions, ask! The guides will tell you all about the fish and what you are seeing swimming around you! If you are swimming/snorkeling close to the island, especially during high wind, you may experience "sea roaches". These are little bugs that are present in the ocean when the sand is stirred up. They are harmless except for the fact that they bite you and latch on to your skin. Just simply brush them off.

Talking about wind, the wind starts picking up during the afternoon and evenings. If you have long hair, you might want to find a way to tuck it back so you're not eating it during dinner.

Huge thank you to Alex who bent over backwards to provide us with a unique and wonderful experience! Thank you to Fernando for providing us a safe and fun speed boat ride and snorkeling experience! I've been told that there is a 1:1 staff to guest ratio and there are only 30 staff on the island at a time.

Lastly, the speed boat ride is the best! I hope you...

Let me try to describe one of the most incredible weeks of my life! From the moment we stepped onto the boat to be taken to the island we were both literally and figuratively transported to heaven on earth. While the water was very choppy due to a storm, our boat captain, Linden, made us feel as comfortable as possible. We were greeted at the resorts dock by Mr. Alex and Eric served us a Mosquito Bite (Amazing!). It was like all of the stress of the day of traveling dissipated immediately. We were then escorted to our cabana and when I stepped through the door I couldn’t help but cry, the view was outstanding but the fact that they had spread rose petals and “Happy Anniversary” on our bed, blew me away. That was just the beginning of them paying attention to every detail to make our week incredible. Two hours later we went to dinner and the fact that the whole staff addressed us by name, with no introductions, was awesome. We literally felt like we were surrounded by close friends from day one and by the time we left we truly felt they are our friends and Coco Plum family. That’s the whole vibe on the island! Let me tell you about the food! Miss Jude is out of this world and I have never eaten better food anywhere, we always had two choices of entrees and we each tried one and then shared so we could try everything! From the fresh fruit plates every morning, bar snacks at mid-morning - lunch ( shrimp ceviche is delicious and the cheese sticks are like none you will find anywhere), lunch ( my favorite was the tamales, indescribably delicious and they brought it to us at “our” over-the-water palapa!), more bar snacks (nachos…WOW) and then dinner. If given the chance, try the Seafood Sere aka The Comeback Soup, ask TY about it! 😂. TY, Evelyn and Shawna took care of us at meal times while Eric and Brian made sure our bar drinks were always on point! I haven’t weighed yet because I’m afraid to! Everything was homemade, tortillas, breads, muffins, pancakes, desserts. The views were beautiful. Crystal clear waters and sea breezes made each day perfect. We ventured to the calmer side of the island where we found various colors of starfish, saw beautiful tropical fish, sting rays (even a spotted one) and of course the islands nurse sharks, they are so cool! We played cornhole and bocce ball…watch out for Mr Alex, he is the “Daddy” of bocce ball on the island! David even successfully paddle boarded for the first time with the helpful instruction from Allen and I snorkeled for the first time. Again, Linden took care of me and I was able to see the beautiful Belizean Reef. Do the massage, best hot stone massage I’ve ever had! The only sad day was the day we had to leave. Mr Allen told me, “but you have to leave my dear so you can come back”, that is now my goal! My advise to anyone considering Coco Plum is to do it, you will not be disappointed! If you’re looking for a laid back, t-shirts, shorts and flip flop kind of vacation this is the place to be! No pretensions just island living at its best! To our family at Coco Plum, we love you all and can’t wait to return like so many of your other guests have done multiple times because now I understand why they do!...
