Casa Blanca by the Sea — Hotel in Corozal District

My husband and I enjoyed delicious drinks and fresh snapper sandwiches at this lovely restaurant, for a total cost of $45 Belize, or $22.50 U.S. With outdcoor seating by the beautiful torquoise sea, and Belizean hardwood furniture to relax in, friendly service, soft Caribbean music in the background, this place is a perfect choice for lunch or dinner. Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to about 8 p.m., or as they told us, until the last customer leaves! The restaurant was immaculate, as was the outdoor patio. We were here for the day only, did not stay in a room, so cannot comment on room quality. This is a reasonably priced restaurant for any occasion, with a good selection of salads, soups, sandwiches, fresh seafood entrees, and some American fare, and definitely would be a beautiful location for a special occasion dinner. They are planning a special Valentine's Day dinner on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 ... $65 BZ per couple buys a three course meal including a glass of wine, a very reasonable evening...

This place has fantastic pics, but.... My wife and I arrived in Cebu at the airport at 9:30pm. We showed the taxi driver the hotel information. He said, “Impossible!!!” I said please take us to the hotel. He said that this hotel is on an island and the only way to get there is by ferry boat. I said, “OK, take us to the ferry boat terminal.” He said that the ferry boats stopped operating to this island hours ago. OMG! Here we are. It is now 10:30pm. We cannot get to our hotel and we have no other hotel reservations. We are in a mess! What a predicament! If this place would only give detailed instructions on where and when to get a ferry boat all of this mess could have easily been avoided. These bad people also charged me for a no show fee....

I have stayed at this hotel in 2004 and have seen It pass from its first owners to its new one. The current owner is an American who truly cares about the property and his guests. The hotel has been completely redone and is amazing. It is the best priced Hotel in the area and is right on the Ocean. Totally safe area and close to mexico for...
