Sleeping here was like waking up in paradise every morning! The hosts met us upon arrival and graciously showed us around their private forest-garden and trail down to the beautiful and serene river where we soaked at the end of each day. They helped us with tour arrangements for cave-tubing and a trip to Tikal, which was a highlight of our time in Belize. In fact, the packet of info they sent in advance was extremely helpful for planning the entire vacation. I would love to return!

This place was truly amazing! It felt like a dream: surrounded by nature and beautifully decorated. Would definitely go again. Close to city centre (7min with car). The host was a gem and it was a pleasure to meet her. The shower was outstanding!!! Acces to the river through the garden... Also they really do as much as possible ecological: sunboiler, making their own gas for cooking, filteration system for river water, only ecological products are used... Wow, just wow !!!

Amazing setting in the jungle. Feels like a treehouse. The Macal River is just 50 yards from the unit we stayed in. Owners and staff are very kind and thoughtful. Magical setting. Highly recommended! 😃

Absolutely incredible stay at Alma del Rio! The property is stunning—peaceful, beautiful, and even better than the photos. From the start, the host was fantastic, providing clear instructions and great local recommendations.

They helped us book a cave tubing and zip-lining excursion for our group of six just a day in advance and made the whole process seamless. We were picked up right at our front door and had an amazing guide for the experience.

There’s so much to see and explore in the area, and every recommendation the host gave us was spot on. We had a memorable time and would absolutely...

Alma del Río is one of the most magical places I have ever been! My favorite place in Belize without a doubt ... Our stay was filled with the sounds of nature, excursions on the river and beautiful energy. It was a pleasure meeting Hadas and her beautiful daughter Alma (The inspiration for the name of the place) Hadas is an amazing hostess who goes out of her way to make your stay exceptional!
