We stayed here in early December 2022. We loved our stay. The cabin was clean and had a beautiful view. We saw a variety of birds and this included a pair of toucans. We loved sitting in the hammock and enjoying noises, sights and overall relaxation that the cabin provided. The hosts, Juliet and Rafael, were extremely generous and we loved talking with them to learn about the culture and local attractions. They were incredibly resourceful and helped in planning a few local excursions. We opted for the homemade Belizian breakfast every morning as it was convenient and we loved that they messaged us the night before with what it would include. We were never disappointed and it was the perfect size. It was an additional cost, but worth every cent. Every morning they would arrive with the fresh made breakfast and they shared information about the ingredients. This included what they harvested right from their backyard and how they helped the locals. We would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in the area. They are incredible hosts and you will definitely love everything about this stay including the 5 rescue dogs that like to come greet you in the morning. Can't say enough about this wonderful place, hope we get the opportunity to visit here again. I am so glad that we decided to go local rather than a big resort. Juliet said when you stay here, you become family and that was definitely apparent throughout our stay. |NOTE- you need a 4 wheel drive to get to the cabins which only added to the adventure and feel of this...

Read moreWe had an amazing stay at the Santa Cruz Cabins. Since I am a list girl, I appreciate when people list pros & cons in reviews. So, here’s my pro/con list for Santa Cruz Cabins: ||||PROS: ||1) The cabin is big and immaculate with every comfort you would need during your stay ||2) The views!!!! Don’t forget your binoculars (like I did) so you can see the Toucans outside your door. ||3) The grounds are amazing. ||4) The hammock – I am kicking myself for not spending more time in that hammock. ||5) The breakfast – homemade with love by owner, Juliet. So, so, so good! ||6) Puppies! Who doesn’t love sweet puppies?! ||7) I saved the best for last, the hospitality. Juliet and Tony make you feel like you’re a part of their family from minute one. They bend over backwards to meet your every need and to make sure that you feel welcome at all times. They do so with big smiles on their faces. They are truly two of the most delightful people I have ever met. ||||CONS: ||1) That we had to say goodbye. ||2) That we aren't actually members of Juliet and Tony family. They are that amazing. ||||We will definitely be back and my husband and I will tell everyone we know who may be planning a trip to Santa Elena/San Ignacio to stay at Santa Cruz Cabins. So, stop your search now and book it before someone else does. I promise, you won’t be...
