This was our second year coming to the Blue Marlin Resort and we are already planning for 2025! You can’t find anywhere more hospitable and beautiful to vacation. There are so many activities to do on the peaceful island: diving, snorkeling, fishing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, etc—even sea side massages! There are also gorgeous spots everywhere to read, sip cocktails, and watch the sunset. From the pier you can see nurse sharks, spotted eagle rays, tons of fish (and even dolphins this trip!). You will eat the most amazing, authentic dishes from Chef Cus- fresh fish and seafood, homemade breads, pasta, guava jam, desserts…I mean, this man can cook *everything*. You’ll be served and assisted with anything you need by the always smiling Esperita and Sasha. Sasha makes delicious smoothies and daiquiris with the freshest papaya, watermelon, mango, and pineapple while you play pool or throw darts in the bar. If you’re lucky, Tommy will captain your boat trips - everybody needs a Tommy! Stacy and Mark will be your guides to the best dive spots in the Caribbean, making safety their number one priority while still making sure you see creatures on your bucket list. On our dives we saw nurse sharks, turtles, eels, octopus, lobsters, crabs, pufferfish, and much much more. Owners Rosella and Richard will check in on you daily, and Hannah in reservations will get back to you ASAP with any questions. But beware…once you experience Blue Marlin, you won’t be able to vacation anywhere else— not just because of the amazing experiences, but also because you are treated like family. ❤️🐠 We already miss yall! Love, the Clapps and Lavignes

The Blue Marlin Beach Resort was an absolutely perfect place for our honeymoon! My wife loves scuba diving but gets kind of seasick on long boat rides - being able to get to truly phenomenal reef dives in 5-10 minutes was a game-changer for her. Amir is such a remarkable dive master - calm, knowledgeable, observant, thorough - it made the whole experience an undiluted pleasure from start to finish. The resort itself could not have been more ideal. It was so peaceful and quiet, and the food at every meal was delightful, without exception - Cus is a very talented chef. We had some of the best massages of our lives right out next to the water, with the sound of the waves the whole time - really magical. The entire staff was friendly, open, and welcoming. We were very sorry to leave and eager to return!

We had the most wonderful experience ever at the Blue Marlin! It is family owned and incredibly well run. I have never, in all of my travels, experienced such a serene and peaceful place! We went for our honeymoon and our expectations were greatly exceeded! The service was second to none. The island is very well kept, the food was amazing, and they treat you like family! If granite countertops and things like that are a priority, this is not the place for you. But if you love comfortable, clean, beachy accommodations, great service, and natural beauty....you will want to book this place....again and again! Thank you Rosella, Sonya and the rest of your wonderful team for making our time there absolutely perfect!

Blue Marlin Beach Resort is a beautiful, idyllic, island resort that hosted my wife and I in January 2025. The resort is magnificently managed and run by a multi-generational, extended family of Belizeans that quickly included us as part of the family. They took exceptional care of us from our very late weather delayed arrival to our last day on the island. The coral island, covered with palm trees and continuously maintained, has several lovely, well-spaced private cottages. ||The family knows the reefs and guides with first hand knowledge. Snorkeling for a week, a couple times a day, with these guides and dive masters, was amazing and like snorkeling in an aquarium. ||The food was tremendous and the cooks and staff were lovely assuring we had whatever we wanted. We wanted fresh food, and the snapper and lobster were the freshest. We wanted to relax in the afternoon with a nice cool rum drink, and we had many to choose from to enjoy with our chef prepared afternoon snack. We wanted to hang out near the crystal-clear, azure-blue water of the Caribbean, and we were surrounded by it. Blue Marlin is a place to return to.||The sun and moon rising and setting over the Caribbean are a beautiful site to behold every day on South Water Caye. One evening, on a January night with a rising full moon over the Caribbean, the cooks and staff prepared and served us our evening meal at a table they brought to our cottage and placed near the palms and the water’s edge. That evening created memories we will always hold.||The cottages were beautiful with great, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, fresh water coolers, air conditioning (which we only needed once) and hammocks hung on the wrap around porch. Perhaps a green heron will walk by your cottage in the evening, or a small army of fiddler crabs may walk by in the night. The bonefish are pets.||The island is fully run on solar power and has a desalinization system. The Belizean family that owns and operates the Blue Marlin Beach Resort has invested in the resort to maintain forward-looking island systems and a viable business to support the family.||The only real beach on the island is at the south end, a very easy ten minute walk away through a university research facility and another small resort to the open beach. My snorkel directly from the beach out to the coral reef was another of the many amazing snorkeling trips we took.||Cell service is mostly available. Wi-Fi is mostly available in the dining...

My husband and I visited Blue Marlin for 5 nights. We had a phenomenal time. The resort is on top of the reef. The east side had an amazing view of the sunrise on top of the waves, the west side had a perfect view of the sunset on the calm seas.

Since you are on the reef the snorkeling/diving is amazing! On our snorkel dive we saw tons of fish, turtles, sharks, dolphins, and amazing different types of coral. We also snorkeled on the west side of the island where we saw shrimp, HUGE hermit crabs, lobsters, eels, sting rays, sharks, and many fish. On our dives we saw a huge variety of fish, lobsters, 6'-8' eagle rays, turtles, sharks, and so many different types of coral. Richard was our dive master. This is his territory, so he knows the area like the back of his hand. He was smart with recognizing dive sites based off currents, lighting, and types of sea life. We had him all to ourselves and he was amazing as he took his time with us and pointed out the marine life, so we could see all the different types of creatures. He gave us the best dive experience yet! He is a real life AQUATIC COWBOY!

When we were back at the island we spent our time on the beach and in the bar. My husband had about 30 of "Sonia's World Famous Micheladas" while were there. Be sure to ask about these when you get to the bar, he fell in love with them! Chef Mo's food was delicious. He clearly has a passion for cooking and you could tell with every bite. All his meals were so good! He makes all his tortillas, they are the best! There is no menu, so you are surprised by each meal which is always fantastic.

The staff was great, and the owners Rosella and Richard were really fun to hang out with. They gave us our space when we wanted and gave us the family feeling when we were with them. We enjoyed them and the staff as they were all great people.

Before we stayed here, we stayed in San Pedro at Victoria House. It was nice but there was a lot of commotion and activity in the area. We enjoyed our stay here 10X more then being in San Pedro. It was a perfect place to disconnect and get some more amazing dives in!

Thanks to the Blue Marlin family for giving us an experience we will never forget. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend this experience for anyone who is looking to have a chance to completely disconnect from society and relax without any interruptions as well as see the amazing...
