I have been dreaming of going to King Lewey's for a couple of years now. Our family finally got the chance to go right before Christmas. We stayed for 3 days/2 nights which was perfect. When we go back, we'd probably add another day. It was truly an absolute dream come true.

The only downsides were that the water trampoline was no longer there due to a really bad storm, and the swings are really difficult to get onto. I'm not tall or strong enough to pull high enough to get in. Having a little more support within the water would have been very welcome. (an extra step on the rocks?)

It rained almost the whole time, but when it was favorable weather, we got to kayak, paddleboard, and snorkel. They have all the things you need there on the island.

Kiwi and Rio are the resident parrots. One is kind, the other not so much. We absolutely loved seeing and hearing them. It was exciting to see them walking and flying around the island. Kiwi even paid us a visit while our door was open! She willingly let me take her back to her home area.

The food was good, and plentiful drinks. Be aware that you can't bring your own meals, nor drinks. You are charged for all the food and drinks you order. Maybe there's a static price for some things? Our 3 kids did a really good job racking up the bill on drinks. They all had such a good time though. It was nice to be able to not worry about the charges until we were...

This place is not to be missed if you are in Belize.. from the moment you arrive you are treated as a king or queen and are greeted with a eucalyptus cool towel .. taken to meet king Lewey and his precious pup princess. This 1 acre island is laid out perfectly .. a tower giving panoramic views... cabanas you can rent right in the water ...tastefully decorated to give you that island feel .. swings in the water .. hammocks in the water... beach chairs .. hammocks all over the compound ... all kinds of tables with thatched umbrellas .. a full service bar and restaurant ... and when I say full service I mean full service .. if it’s not on the menu and they have it .... they will prepare it.. if you stay there ... there are kayaks .. paddle boards ... corn hole .. darts ... this island resort is emmaculatly manicured and is very “green” using solar power ... and rain water collection ... rooms have memory foam mattress ... paired with the ocean breeze and waves for a great nights sleep ... every last detail including a coffee... Starbucks coffee beans and a grinder in the room ... if you are lucky enough to stay the sun rises on one side and sets on the other... highly recommend this resort and king Lewey is extremely personable and makes you completely...

There are many positives to King Lewey's and one very large negative. First the positive: The island is done very well with a first class construction and attention to detail. The staff is fantastic. The location - it's an island in the middle of the Caribbean! Lot's of hammocks, great food and drink. Fun games for kids. All A+

Now the negative. The island is I believe 12 miles out. The trip out there is on a small uncovered skiff style boat and was exceedingly brutal. Other tour outfits much closer to Placencia had cancelled their snorkeling tours due to the rough sea but King Leweys said it was ok to go. That was an error. While the ultimate responsibility to go or not is with us as a customer we are relying on the best judgement of the 'professionals in the know' in this case they failed in pursuit of the bookings. Words simply cannot convey how absurd and jarring the trip to the island was for all involved and I have spent a decent amount of time on the water. Once King Lewey's has solved the transport issue to the island either by judgement or a better vessel it is well...

King Lewey's was the perfect place for our last 3 day stay in Belize. We had a party of 11 and their staff took excellent care of us. We rented the purple octopus and two of the small cabanas. Only time we spent in the rooms was to sleep and shower so they were perfect. Every little detail has been thought out with motion lights, flash lights and fans in every room. Leaving the door open at night created a great cool breeze at night. Food was excellent and Bryan and Merrari worked so hard to make sure we always had a snack or drink. I can't say enough about those two! Victor is the island manager and he was on top of every little need we had. He even found out we are Oklahoma Sooner fans and streamed the Orange bowl game for us so we could watch the game. There were plenty of activities on the island. Never a dull moment. Alex cut down a coconut for my wife for a nice refreshing drink. It just seemed there was nothing they would not do for us!! Perfect stay! Thank you King Lewey!

Pleasantly surprised. Food was awesome. I was skeptical at first about food, how good can the food be on this tiny island. Well they don’t disappoint. Garlic fish, Blackened fish were awesome. Shrimp quesadilla was a 5. Most quesadilla’s remind me of kids quesadilla. This by far was a quesadilla on steroids. Great service. They were busy, but servers hustled to each table. Food is pricey, but is to be expected on an island in the middle of nowhere. Lots of fish, sting ray you can see right off beach. Beach games, trampoline. Hammocks, look out deck. Wish we could of stayed longer, but it was a quick lunch stop from our boat trip

This is a must visit! This little island is not that far from Placincia, but you have to get here by boat. It is quaint the food is not bad at first I thought it was a little pricey but then I thought that they have to ship everything to this island so they have to Be able to continue this process. I will include a picture of Captain Hank's. Boat tours. Hank is very personable. I go on a tour with him every time I go to Belize. He knows the islands like no one else. He can get you to this point and many other islands. This is a place you must visit, just to chill out taking the sun, have some local cuisine and just relax.
