Our overall experience with this hotel was good. The hotel is old (Communist era construction), but is clean and functioning. Reception staff was nice and helpful. Thanks to the great price and the availability of a room that fit a family of six (2 adults, 4 young children), most of the inconveniences could be overlooked.||||The hotel is on the north side of town and easy to find using Google Maps (this cannot be said about many destinations in Bosnia & Herzegovina). There are a few signs as you come into town, too, so you may or may not miss it (I missed it, our oldest kid saw the signs). There are probably 15–20 parking spaces, but they're tight (for a American mid-size SUV, anyway). I don't know if you can reserve them or not. Like most buildings built 30 or more years ago, you have to lug your bags up a few stairs to get from the parking lot to the reception area. It's not bad, though.||||Both the man on duty when we arrived and the woman the next morning were warm and helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived. We had a one-bedroom suite with a kitchenette. The kitchenette and living room area had a fold-out couch, and we pushed the two large arm chairs together, creating sleeping space for our kids. We slept in the bedroom, which had a balcony that gave you a view of the parking lot and the high-rise apartment buildings across the street. The only problem with the location of the room was that the parking lot also connects to the restaurant area, which often hosts wedding celebrations. They have a tendency to go late into the night, as one did the night we were there. We heard most of it. Rooms on the other side of the hall would've been better. One other funny problem was that the mini-fridge in the kitchenette had a power cord that didn't reach any of the outlets. We moved the fridge to a place that did, and that was fine.||||There was extra bedding in case it was cold. What they seemed to skimp on was toiletries, having only the liquid soap for both the sink and the shower. The kitchenette had basics for four people as well as a few pots and pans. If you need to fry an egg or warm up some macaroni and sauce, you'll be fine; anything more involved and you'll be missing key utensils.||||We were never able to get the Internet connected, as other reviewers have noted. During our one-night stay we decided this wasn't a problem, but it was still kind of annoying.||||Finally, the location isn't awesome. It's near the edge of town. It's a pretty solid walk into the center, which is where most of the sights and shopping are. There are a couple supermarket options near the hotel that worked really well for us. Taxis will run you about $5.00 to get into the center, so it's not terrible, and neither would be a walk on a nice day.||||The bottom line for us was that the hotel offered a place where a family of six could be in the same room. This is key when you've got young children, but ofen tough to do in Europe. This was a welcome exception. The price was right. Most stuff in Tuzla isn't going to kill you, but this was an unbeatable price, considering the convenience of the kitchenette. If we were to pass through Tuzla again, I'd consider...
Read moreHotel Tehnograd has a very polite and nice service and staff. I had a seminar in this hotel a few days ago. There is a large room convenient for weddings and festive occasions, but also for the organization of large-scale training sessions or modules (see image). The restaurant is quite small, but the food is very tasty.||||I highly recommend the hotel to sleep - the prices are pretty good, especially if you come from a remote location (about 20EUR a night with breakfast).||||However I have not seen the rooms and I have no idea about cleanliness of rooms.||||Hotel Tehnograd is not located in the city center so you will have to take a taxi or some other transportation to...
