The pool bar staff and food, as well as the workshop who repaired our car and Bati who drove us in the salt pan drive, deserve 5 stars. However, the rest deserves 1 star. We had to wait 2 hours for our rooms to be ready, despite the sign outside the rooms saying that the rooms were ready. When we asked to stay an extra half hour the next day, we were refused, the explanation being that they were renovating the rooms. I pointed out that this was their choice and they should possibly not accept bookings for rooms that they are renovating. Also, surely all the rooms cannot be cleaned at the same time?
For some unknown reason, someone attempted to enter the family room at 8am, causing our children distress.
The evening meal was also disappointing, with meat the quality of European meat. That is, poor. The chicken and sausage was good.
As well as this, at breakfast, we asked for more pancakes. We were told that it was too late, despite us being there 20 minutes before the service closed. After much insistence, they made pancakes for the children, which didn't arrive until after checkout time, so we had to wait for them. I think the thing that got to us was the reception staff's lack of flexibility. We waited two hours for our rooms, were not given a discount or a half hour extension to our stay.
The following night. We stayed at Woodlands. Stay...
Read moreRestaurant service is very very slow. Ordered dinner at 8pm, and I'm still waiting as I'm typing this at 21:23. Also, no clearing of the table from empty drinks, no asking if new drinks are needed, just overall bad and slow service. Entire staff needs to be either replaced or properly trained. I feel like just standing up and leaving. Would leave negative stars if I could. Update: Received food at 21:49, many orders were taken wrong, and we had to wait even longer. Spoke to duty manager, blames the skeleton staff for being so awfully slow.
2nd update: Visited restaurant again 15Sep22 with 12 people. Pre-ordered food at 16:00 for 19:30, first 3 plates came at 19:50, last plate received 20:12. First half of the guests were already finished eating when last guest received their food. Food was tasty and warm when it arrived. Waitress seemed overwhelmed and disorganized the entire time, as serving 12 people should be done by 2 waiters. No tomato sauce or vinegar was offered by waitress, even tho chips were served with almost every plate. Apple pie desert was good, but the cheese cake was unbearable sweet, to the point that it was washed down with coke to get some relief. Kitchen definitely has to taste their foods before selling them. Still room for...
Read moreNice staff and good toasties. this is where the list of our positives take an abrupt end at our stay in Nata Lodge. Upon our agreed arrival time, it took staff about 2 hours to 'prepare' our rooms, however in my abode there were coffee packets and a bag ontop of my mosquito net?!(images attached). the dinner was OK for most of us, however I took the liberty of ordering a pasta arrabiata, I didn't know it would have that effect on me!!🤣(the pasta was not very good). order a burger, my comrades said these were good. we came back in our room to find bug noises around us for most of the night, upon inspection we found holes in the floor and ceiling!the wood making up the walls was splinter city, but overall the outdoor shower was v nice and the room was pretty clean except for stains on the floor😬in the morning we woke up to someone unlocking our door at 8am?!again, nice staff and most of the food was OK, but breakfast was said to end at 10am, and we were told we couldn't get more food at 9.45??it was around 8 euro per person for breakfast for not very good value in my...
