Thebe River Safaris organised all of our activities whilst my Husband and I stayed at Jackalberry Chobe [Sister Co.] and Neighbours, along the Chobe River, Kasane, Botswana. An outstanding duo that made our Honeymoon such a memorable experience. Our activities included 3 Game Drives, a Sunset Cruise and an early morning Sunrise Cruise on the Chobe river.||Our Guide Shimisu introduced himself when he collected us from Jackalberry for our first Game Drive and informed us that he would be our Guide for the duration of our stay … with a cool box packed with ice and drinks for our first Safaris loaded onto our open sided 4x4 safari vehicle … off we drove to the Chobe National Park.||Shimisu was very knowledgeable and was able to provide, at times, a humorous commentary on the animals we encountered. We were extremely lucky to see 4 of the BIG 5; Lion, Buffalo, Elephant and Leopard. Unfortunately, there are no longer Rhino in the Chobe National Park as they’ve been moved to private sanctuaries for their safety and protection. ||So much other game was seen during our safaris from Hippo to various species of Antelope, Zebra, Giraffe and Crocodile and all of our game drives were different. This was down to Shimisu’s experience, knowledge of the area and tracks he followed. We couldn’t have chosen a better Company for our African adventure.||During our stay at Jackalberry, we also visited the Thebe Safari Lodge, Campsite, Bar and Restaurant where we experienced their first-class hospitality and infamous pizza’s. Whilst we did not stay at the lodge, it looked very comfortable, cozy, clean and well equipped and as this lodge is owned and operated by the same Company that owns Jackalberry, I have no doubt that the level of service would exceed any guests expectations.||Thank you so much for complimenting our Honeymoon at Jackalberry Chobe.||Wayne and Jan Stroud.|[07:10:2023 to 16:10:2023]||P.S : your infamous Pizza reputation is spot on ~ they...

Out of three camping places in Kasane that we checked out we liked this one the most and stayed there for two nights in our rooftop tent. Our camping place was number 4, it was well equipped, but without any grass only sand and gravel, not pretty but functional. Bathrooms were clean, personnel were kind. During the night this camp can be very loud with wildlife (birds, hippos), sometimes it woke us up. When asking for transport to Vic Falls and safari rides in Chobe at the reception we noticed that their prices were super high, therefore we organised this by ourselves with agencies in downtown where it was more then three times cheaper. We also tried out camp restaurant where they serve good pizzas. One weird thing that happened to us here was that someone occupied our camping site during the time when we were not present (which was all the time during day) and they even left their chairs under our roof. It was a group of around 20 tourists with a few local guides who used our kitchen and dining space. Last day they even parked us so we couldn't get out and were cooking so we had to eat at the adjacent camping site and asked them to please let us out with our car, and they were not very happy to be bothered with this. I guess there was some kind of a misunderstanding around this camping site at the reception. Overall it was...

We camped at Thebe River Safaris for 4 nights. The ablutions were clean and well kept. Our 6 year old son enjoyed the comfort of the pool, while we had the luxury of shade from a large tree. Most stands have shade, although not all. There is a restaurant and bar on site with free wifi. Also rooms, although we did not use it. We booked a game drive and river cruise with Thebe river Safaris. The cruise especially stood out. You take your own refreshments and can move around the vessel. Saw plenty of animals. We will be back.

I camped for the weekend and wow, did I enjoy it - from eating the most delicious pizza and tilapia at the Restaurant to camping close to the river. As a nature lover, I enjoyed every moment. Ablutions were neat and clean. My highlight for the weekend was the river cruise that I booked through Thebe River Safaris - I was amazed that we could come so close to the elephants and other animals. And of course, the birdlife was also so amazing - a birdwatcher's dream!

Stayed here for one night during an overland tour on the campground. Very spacious area for our tents, sanitary facilities are basic but good. A big bar area with wifi. We also went on a boat cruise in the afternoon and a game drive through Chobe National Park with them in the early morning, which was both really a great experience. There are some areas to improve on the campground, but altogether a nice enjoyable place.
