Nxabega is a wonderful lodge to go to experience Botswana’s beautiful Okavango delta. It’s a tented lodge (nicest tent I ever saw) with a swimming pool, bar and dining area, overlooking a plain where animals such as impalas appeared regularly. Our suite was large and comfortable with a shower, and outdoor shower, mini bar, lots of space for clothes and luggage and good WiFi. We left the flaps open at night so fresh air could blow through the screens. Nice patio with table and chairs for an afternoon drink, and also a swing to enjoy while watching wildlife.||What really makes Nxabega great is the staff. Tshepi took really good care of us bringing meals, drinks, and cheerfully greeting us all day. Chef Vincent prepared wonderful meals every day with many creative delicious choices. The managers were checking with us regularly and met us after every game drive with cool towels and welcome drinks. ||The game drives were among the best we experienced in many years of coming to Africa on safari. We witnessed a leopard stalking and eventually killing an impala, dragging it into the bushes where it’s cubs we’re waiting. We saw baby hyenas ( a first), wild dog puppies (a first), and a wild dog hunt. Our guide AK and spotter Action are among the best, if not the best, we have experienced. AK took the time to explain how the delta came to be and made many unforgettable experiences. AK and Action made our overall experience very special and we are very enthusiastic about a return to Okavango delta in the near future.||From listening to the delta night sounds, to experiencing an elephant joining us for dinner at the boma (he only stayed for the salad course) we had a great stay, all made possible by the warm friendly staff at...
Read moreWe were so blessed to go here for 8 nights, a beautiful lifetime experience|Wild and untamed and pristine , stunning scenery.|The Game drives were phenomenal Bale our Guide and Ollie our Tracker really went out of their way so we could experience this part of Botswana to the fullest, within 36 hours we had already seen the big 5 and everyday sometimes twice a day we would see leopards. Seeing the pair of wild dogs was so unexpected but such a delight. And seeing them on two different days was a highlight. We marked off 95 different birds and quite a few new ones. Their expertise is outstanding and they have a great sense of humor.|Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.|The motorboat cruise and Mokoros was an added special experience. All of this will leave a lasting impression of us.| |The food was delicious, fresh and yummy. Elizabeth and her team delivered 5-star quality meals for each mealtime and we never ate the same dish again. That's no mean feat when you consider how far civilization is. Read moreMy husband and I spent four days in the amazing lodge. We arrived and were greeted with the staff singing a welcoming song as well as a drink and a cool towel. In fact every time we returned from a safari we were welcomed back by several staff with a drink and a cool towel. AndBeyond goes beyond what anyone could possibly expect! We had a butler to make all our arrangements and to serve our meals. The entire staff were at our service - it was almost embarrassing as we are not used to such luxury. The lodges are gorgeous with a swing on our deck that looks out into the savanna. Animals go by freely as we were in the middle of a reserve. Our ranger and tracker, Richard and KB, were experts in the flora, fauna and and even the night skies of the savanna. They asked what we wanted to see the most and they delivered. Not five minutes into our first safari with them we saw a leopard! Even the leopard was obliging as it climbed a tree and seemed to pose for a picture. We were also treated to seeing the white rhino in the reserve. In an effort to save the species, Botswana has imported dozens of these animals from South Africa (where they are still being poached) to various regions, Moremi Game Reserve being one of them. Game reserves and concessions are great ways to see wildlife as the rangers are allowed to go off road to track them. You also don't get tourists driving through them on their own like you do in...
