The location, scenery and wildlife around are excallent. Game walk were very special experience (if you like to walk). It is offered by few lodges only. The guides for the game walk were outstanding. The were sharp as animals, knoledgeable, proffetional and friendly. We felt very safe at the wildness, and we were closed to wild animals. The tents are fine, but the maintenance of the tents and the camp are not in high level. The same apply to service. Disappointing for such high class lodge. For example - no refill at the room ( towls, soap), personal requsts are not taken care. Price model: all inclusive. No wifi or cellular connection. Note: 2018/2019 summer was exceptionally dry. The water in the delta are at low level record, and therefore makoro boat drive are not possible. The water ways are full with hipos.

Botswana was the stuff my dreams were made of. I was there this past winter and this Lodge was the ultimate. The tents were wonderful if a bit chilly, but we had plenty of blankets. Hot water bottles on cold mornings and blankets. The guides were so knowledgeable and knew how to make a proper cocktail for tea if you didn't want coffee or tea. The campfire nights were out of a movie. Telling stories and singing and the warthogs snuffling in the corner. The food was plentiful, the wines were terrific and the guides above and beyond. Shout out to Amos, TT, Tee, Titus and a slew of others. Thanks for polling the Makoro. Happy times. I cried when I had to leave.

This place is absolutely breathtaking. We went in June so had the choice of 4 bush activities: game drive, boat trip, bush walk, mokoro. The camp manager and staff were so friendly and attentive, the guides knowledgeable and will cater to your ever need. The room was really lovely, overlooking the river. The flight in was spectacular. I would highly recommend this lodge. You feel very much in the middle of nature!

LOCATION||In the middle of the Okavango Delta. Only accessible by a 6 seater plane.||It has its own air strip which is shared by one other camp. A larger version of this one.||Surrounded by wetlands and not fenced. Animals are free to roam around the entire camp. We did have an elephant right near our room eating the trees and during the night we could hear a hippo or elephant rummaging through the trees and making noises. They do take precautions and you get escorted back to your tent in the evenings.||||ROOM||There are only 6 luxury tents in this camp.||Amazing tents. Had everything you needed. Extra sitting room at the front and spacious outdoor shower. Plenty of space for all your things (even though you are restricted on bag size due to the small plane).||There is no power points in the tents, there is a communal power board in common lounge area to charge camera, phones etc.||They supply soap, shampoo etc for bathroom.||||FACILITIES||All inclusive, meals, drinks, laundry (except underwear, but the supply powder in your tent for that)||They offer river safari, walking safari and mokoro rides (like a wooden kayak).||They are pretty full days but there is some down time after lunch before your afternoon activity.||They have a pool. My husband used that. Pretty cold. It was fun seeing the warthogs hanging out around the pool too.||A lounge area up on the top area of the communal area is great. This had lounges, self service bar area and charging station for all electrical items. ||Please be aware, NO wifi, its great to be unplugged.||Meals are good, family table to sit with all the other guests, its great to hear other guests stories and trips. They are good to cater to dietary needs. ||||OVERALL||It gives a great vibe being such a small camp.||You have two guides with you for the safaris. The walking safari was ok, but the least exciting. Didn't really see much, but at stages it was great being so close to some elephants or hippos.||The river safaris gave so much in regards to wildlife. Birds galore. Hippos everywhere, which were nerve racking sometimes hiding under the water, elephants only metres away. You truly feel so close to nature. In the evenings you do a sundowner on the shore of the river which is gorgeous with the sunsets.||I haven't had much experience in safaris but i felt this place keeps you close to nature and as eco friendly as possible. ||This camp was selected for us by our tour group and I wasn't disappointed. I think they have done well to keep this place intimate and its ideal for my first African safari.||It has that tree house vibe and its relaxing to be at a place disconnected to the rest of the world even if it is...

Our three-day stay here was idyllic. The camp itself is small, meaning you get to meet all the other guests, and as you arrive you are introduced to your guides who will assist you throughout your stay. Our guides could not have done more to make our stay memorable, and were very knowledgeable about all the wildlife, bushcraft, and local customs. Our tent was very comfortable, and I enjoyed waking each morning with the dawn streaming in one end of the tent, and then sitting up in bed to look out over the delta through the front. Food was both good and plentiful, and the wildlife both plentiful and varied. In particular, the local bird life was something not to be missed, and our guides made it possible for us to get close up for photographs.|The activities from the camp were so different from the run-of-the-mill vehicle-based safaris. The boat rides to within a few metres of elephants, hippo, crocodiles, buffalo, and many other animals, while the experience of the mokoro (canoe) trip gave a very quiet and intimate view of the wildlife, with the ability to negotiate narrow and shallow channels not passable by boat. However, the jewel in the crown was the walking experience. We went on a bush walk on each of our three days in the camp, seeing different aspects of the area on each occasion, always with the possibility of encountering big game around the next corner (on our first walk, we moved away rapidly from a sleeping hippo, under a nearby bush, as our guides always had our safety uppermost in their minds.) We were also privileged to see the rare Pel's Fishing Owl, and the endangered Wattled Stork, as well as four different species of kingfisher and innumerable other birds. |While I've lived in East Africa and been on many safaris in the past, this was a unique experience that I will...

Don't be put off by the messy outbuildings and service area on arrival and wait till you see the incredible view from the amazing design of the central area with incredible views over the delta. Views obviously change dramatically according to the season. |We had a small singing welcome as well as some opera singing during meal times. Our tented room was good with a pleasant balcony though the bed had no mossie net but the windows and doors had netting. The only shower was outside. |As well as wildlife drives including at night time there are seasonal mokoro and motor boat trips which give a totally different perspective of the area. But note you will really need to stay here for three nights to experience all options fully. The lodge website mentions walking safari, as did our tour company, but these are not really available.|Special thanks goes to our driver and guide Tee and Ronnie the spotter. Both were great fun and very knowledgeable. We even enjoyed getting stuck twice in quick succession for over an hour each time in the middle of the swamp. Other jeeps coming to rescue us also got stuck. It was a safari adventure to remember and all the staff dealt with it extremely calmly. |We saw an abundance of wildlife including leopard and lion. The highlight was seeing a leopard wading through the marsh from the boat and visiting a hyena den on a couple of occasions to watch the family at play and leisure. |Food was good and drinks freely available. |All delta lodges are very expensive but this one appears to be better value than most and we overheard a South African safari guide say that it had better wildlife viewing opportunities than some way more...
