Unforgettable Lodges

Our stay at Zarafa was truly exceptional, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the team at Bee and our guide Zsteach at Zarafa, went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was unforgettable. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the wildlife and ecosystem of the area.

The lodge is absolutely stunning. The attention to detail in the design and decor is evident, and we instantly felt a sense of luxury and comfort. The accommodations are spacious, well-appointed, and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding wildernes. The meals at the camp were thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. We savored every bite and appreciated the variety of culinary delights offered. However, it was the breakfasts in the wild that truly stood out. Enjoying it while surrounded by the untamed beauty of nature was an experience that will forever be etched in our memories.

In conclusion, our time at Zarafa Lodge was simply extraordinary. The exceptional service, breathtaking surroundings, and unforgettable wildlife encounters exceeded all expectations. Thank you, Bee and Zsteach, and the entire team from Zarafa, for creating an experience that will remain etched in our hearts forever! Nuria 1, Nuria...

Our stay at Zarafa Camp was truly magical. From the moment we landed on their airstrip we were cared for like family. We were welcomed by staff member Bee and our guide Opie. They had high tea waiting for us at the airstrip lounge (beautiful tent) where we had a snack and freshened up. Thereafter, we went on our first of several drives with Opie. Within the first hour we saw zebras, giraffes, impala, antelope, elephants and a leopard! We arrived at the gorgeous camp and again greeted with welcoming smiles by the manager MD, chef Baby, Julia, Sticks and Game to name a few. Off to our “tents” which were very posh and absolutely amazing. Our daily drives with Opie were always full of adventure including following a lioness and her cubs and observing the regal male lion. We always felt safe even though we were extremely close to the animals. Each drive included a surprise treat from chef Baby with little notes…very special touch. Bee was always there to help execute these beautifully staged meals and sunset cocktails with a huge smile. We will never forget our special moments at Zarafa… I cried...

It’s amazing on so many levels it’s really hard to know where to begin. |The wild life is spectacular with frequent great sightings every day. Much of this is due to how the team communicates with several guides chasing the same find and reporting to each other via walkie talkie. Leopards, lions, and wild dogs were all located in this cooperative fashion. Our guide Opie was truly exceptional and I can still see him waving goodbye from the runway as we pulled away.||The lodge and rooms are reflective of Relais and Chateaux style accommodations. Rustic but very chic. We visited in their winter and things do get a bit chilly at night (it’s a tent) so I would keep that in mind and bring warm pajamas.||The food is quite gourmet. Baby, the chef, is special and provides a wide variety of healthy choices which are very tasty.||Lastly the staff is truly amazing. We were there for three days and got to know these wonderful people well. MD, Bee, Game, and Jake’s were just a few of the people we connected with so beautifully.||My wife cried...

Wow, wow. The team from MD, SE, Lady K, Bee Philip and everyone else that I can’t remember their names of are simple amazing. We stayed in the Dhow suite (but I fully e spect the level of service and attentiveness would be the same throughout all of their suites. From the moment we arrived to the second we left they were 100% on the ball. The experience of sleeping in an extremely robust tent with hard wood floors and amazing views was very special. Then comes the safari it’s self, relatively modern Toyota Land Cruisers picked you up at the air strip and were at our beckons call when ever we wanted to head out. Our safari lead was Joseph (JoJo) and he was super informative and found so much wildlife. He had a true skill for tracking and spotting. So what is left to say other than it was awesome. I really don’t normally give 5 stars but here I have…..

We stayed at Zarafa (tent #1) with friends (tent #2) in November 2022. We have been on safari before in South Africa and Botswana and Zarafa has been the best experience so far all around. The setting felt like what I imagine an old world luxury safari would have been like. The staff were outstanding at anticipating our wants and needs. They were professional but friendly - it was great to sit around the campfire at night and have a drink and talk with them before or after dinner. We visited on the cusp between the rainy and dry season but felt like we had the best of both as we saw a tremendous variety of water and land-based wildlife. The food was excellent - by far the best we've had on safari. We would definitely go back to Zarafa if we return to Botswana.
